You can taste best flavours here, they have wide variety of sushi. Staffs is very quick and effective. It has a cool vibe and their interior is also very interesting.
Flavourful food cooked with fresh ingredientes. Quick and effective service provided by a friendly staff.
Highly recommend the udon august special noodles, the kobe need as well as the sushi and sashimi.
This restaurant is very popular so don't forget to make a reservation. It has a hip/cool vibe, It has a really nice and interesting interior. I particularly enjoyed the Japanese wood work on the wall. The food is uniformly good. We had the sashimi salad which was delicious. We had the fried corn which was good but not distinctive. We had the tempura shrimp which is typically served with a mayo sauce. We don't like mayo so we asked for a different sauce. The shrimp was excellent. Finally we had the tan tan noodle which is a soup and it was delicious. Service was attentive and quick.
Outstanding service, great ambiance, dishes are authentic, delicious and good variety of menu.
The limited deluxe bento box is a MUST!
We will definitely go back to try their other items.
Kingyo Izakaya is a located on Denman St., one of the busiest street downtown Vancouver. It’s also one of the top Japanese Restaurant in Vancouver. If you come to Vancouver, you should definitely go to this restaurant.
I came to this place with my friends few times with my friends. This restaurant was always super busy and had super big line up. So, I strongly suggest people that don’t come to this place right on the lunch and dinner time. It’s great service and food in this restaurant. The servers were very nice, quick and friendly. The food prices were a little bit expensive, but they were very reasonable. The quality and taste of the food were great. High recommend to everyone.
Location: L871 Denman Street, Vancouver, BC Meal: Deep fried calamari, deep fried chicken karagae, and New generation ginger ale. Service: Table service, it was later in the evening so it wasn't super loud like most Izakayas. No water refills though.
Regular love this place! Always tasty food services always friendly one of my favourite places to come and go to. Thank you for the best food service and environment
Great service and excellent food (quality and taste). They're always quick and polite. The food is also reasonable in price and very authentic Nagoya style. The only downside is their fabulous boxes are limited to 10/day (and honestly, are often all reserved by rich mainlanders how can often afford buying 6-8 at a time, as well as reserving weeks in advance.)
Came here for a weekday lunch around 12. It wasn’t crowded at all, although it started getting fairly busy after about half an hour. My friend and I had decided to come here to try the hitsumabushi, since we weren’t aware of any other place in Vancouver that has it. I also wanted to try the kaisen don, but alas, I’ll save that for another time.
One-liner: No complaints whatsoever about this premier Japanese Izakaya experience if you avoid the cauliflower karaage
Highlight: Pressed Mackerel Sushi
Price per person: $20-30
Would I go back? Yes.
