Took us 30 years to get here but worth the wait. A renowned and beloved Vancouver spot with good cause. Pleasant greeting as we entered. Unobtrusive, but attentive service. From appetizers to dessert everything flowed smoothly. Our mains were beautifully plated and exquisite in quality, best lamb I've ever had. The semi dehydrated plum tomatoes in my dish were a wonderful burst of flavour. Death By Chocolate for dessert was small but so rich, anything more would have been overkill. A bit pricey but that's expected when you go for the best. Thank you to Mr. Bishop for taking the time to graciously greet each of his guests. We will return.
Amazing service and a great romantic ambiance. It has a West Coast feeling (not too stuffy), and yet you are in a fine dining restaurant with world class food and service. This place just has more natural and genuine "personality". Great place for special occasions (or in our case Date Night).
Bishop’s is the restaurant to celebrate special events in a romantic setting. The food was exquisite and beautifully plated. The service was impeccable with multiple staff ensuring our dining experience was perfect. The amuse bouche was a nice touch. The Dungeness Crab and Sockeye Salmon Cake was yummy as it was moist with forward crab and salmon taste. If you enjoy fish protein you won’t be disappointed with Pan Roasted Halibut Fillet. I enjoyed the pistachio sauce and spring vegetables with the halibut. Roasted Duck Breast was rich and decadent. We thoroughly enjoyed dining in at Bishop’s Restaurant.
Above expectations! It is an experience of culinary art in every dish! And its a wine list that makes sense pairing wise for the dishes offered in the menu instead of being there just for the same of impressing the visitors.

Amazing evening. Great service and very reasonable pricing. The menu is perfect. Mushroom risotto is the dark horse and super tasteful.
First time being at the restaurant and food is impressive. Service is 10/10, the steak tartare and both dessert are great. I had the roasted duck breast and I love it. The duck breast is very soft and moist and the fat of the duck gives you a concentrated taste of the duck. The only disappointment is the rack of lamb that my fiancé ordered. The outer layer of the lamb rack has a bitter taste that overtakes the lamb. But overall I'd give 8/10 and will definitely come back.
One of my favourite restaurants and let’s just say there is no other like Bishop’s. My friend and I were sad when we found out Bishop’s was going to shut its door last August, but I guess Covid has allow them to remain open and I’m so happy. This year, we been back there twice, even brought our friends there and each time the food never disappoints! You can’t go wrong with anything that is on the menu. If you have never been here, it’s a must because you will absolutely love this place!!!
Also, John always give that personal touch - till this day he goes around and say hi to each table and I think that’s just incredible. All the staff there were warm and amazing!
Everything was so good! I have no comment! For those who would like to eat at a fine dining restaurant, this is the right place for you. The ambience was super amazing too. Nothing goes wrong with the good and service was super friendly. I have no feedback to what needed to be fixed since everything was super perfect! Totally recommended and would go back again to eat here next time!
Bishop’s
It was our first time at Bishop’s and we enjoyed a lovely dinner here last week. The interior ambiance is quaint and cozy. I had made online reservations as seating is limited.
Our dinner started off with a complimentary amuse-bouche – halibut croquette with parsnip foam and seaweed salad. We ordered the humboldt squid (special), foie gras (special) and half dozen Kushi oysters to start. For our entrees, I had the duck breast while my partner ordered the lamb. Our favourite dishes of the night were the foie gras and duck.
