Gord and I got chicken dinners from The Rooster Rotisserie and Grill. I've walked by it many times and have wanted to check them out. I got our dinners to go.
We both got half chicken dinners. Gord got his with salad and coleslaw. He really liked it and said he'd get it again.
I got mine with rice and Parisian potatoes. I had them put the sauce on mine (rather than on the side). The sauce had a bit of kick but I liked it. I too enjoyed my meal and would get it again.
We'll be back!
You want chicken, this is it in Toronto! The finest rotisserie chicken on the planet, oh and the hot says definitely has crack in as I've been addicted from my first go around, you've been warned
Hands down my favourite Portuguese rotisserie spot, and one of my favourite places in the neighborhood.
Cheap, large meals. The chicken is always good (which you can buy whole or in pieces). The breasts are sometimes dry, but that's par for the course with these places.
They make up for it with the hot sauce they pour over the chicken on request, which is more tangy than anything spicy, but does brighten everything up in a perfect way.
They always have a nice selection of weekly specials, which they keep on a steam tray, that i haven't been disappointed with yet.
Sandwiches, sides and salads make up the rest of they menu.
Just be careful going there around 12-1 or 6-7pm, as you might find yourself at the back of a long line.
The people have spoken.
Never let's me down. When I need to chow down on a mound of delicious saucy potatoes, hearty bean salad, and juicy chicken I get the quarter chicken dinner combo and always leave satisfied...and for $7.50 I have yet to find a better takeout dinner
Definitely is the king of chicken. Reliably good, large, and reasonably priced.
