NOT BAD AT ALL! took time to walk a few minutes after a tiring lunch shift at work. Chose wok and roast for a cheap lunch as the aftermath to a huge war within myself deciding where do i have my lunch from?! Got in at a very crowded atmosphere, so decided to go for takeout, and straight away see a little board saying $8 for 16 pieces of wings, SOLD! Wings were good, 4.50$ for sweet n sour pork(great for the rate) $2 for a box of steam rice. Quantity was amazing, had half for lunch , rest for dinner. Taste was good! Really nice, wings were crisp , pork had diced pineapples that gave the sweet and sour taste which was really delicious. I relished that meal!
For the dine in, tried kung pao chicken, shechuan chicken, chilli chicken, fried rice. For the price, the food is worth it!! Must try if you like asian food!

Consistently good, fresh Chinese food. Stand out dishes are their roast and barbecued meats: their roast duck, and roast and barbecued pork options are almost always a perfect balance of fat to meat. Tried and true Chinese fast food items like young chow fried rice, sautéed pea shoots in garlic, and sweet and sour pork have never yet disappointed. Expectedly shabby interiors, with disposable plastic sheets for table coverings and garish lighting.

I have ordered dishes and they flew out of the kitchen before I even had a chance to take a seat thinking it would be a 10+ mins wait. Prepared foods in the display case are okay (4-star rating). Their roast pork and sweet pork is high quality with excellent cuts. Their ducks are actually quite lean and a pleasure to enjoy with family and friends. They accept cash, debit and credit cards. Fast and delicious!

Great BBQ meat!!!. If you want a great cheap eat, this is the place to head to! For less than $5, you can have 2 BBQ meat items on top of rice with veggies or tofu. The BBQ is delicious here. Extremely tasty!!!

Feelin' (Ka Ka) Lucky Punk?. Who on God's Green Acre has not been hungry coming home from work - and hankering for Chinese goodness?!
"Well if you haven't . . . what's wrong with you?!"

If you live in East End Toronto or visited East End Chinatown - you know Ka Ka Lucky is the ticket for FAST, REASONABLE, and AWESOME Chinese BBQ, Noodles and (oh my sweet lord I'm hot thinking about it . . .) hot and sour soup! This place is a gem, "on the other side of the bridge!"

I have been going here for YEARS! There are people always lined up to buy the food. It is a true BBQ pit, typical Chinatown style baby. The locals are always here either sitting at a side table, or lined up to take home crispy salted swine, BBQ pork, slivers of BBQ chicken/duck or whatever other goodness they have hooked up & swinging in their window.

The menu items should not be over looked either. Their containers are "loaded" - and not just with noodles and sauce. Their Cantonese Chow Mein is topped with veggies, meats and seafood. There is no hunting to find a shrimp here.

As a kid my father would take me to the BBQ pits at Dundas and Spadina after a ball game. We'd order Hot and Sour Soup, and eat our faces off; sweating over ladles of thick spicy broth and heaps of veggies, meats and rice. This takes me back to childhood - authentic, satisfying goodness - laughing in the face of Canadianized chicken balls and pineapple sauce.

Thank you Ka Ka for making me a Lucky - take out queen!

Great Cantonese BBQ and noodles. Of all of the restaurants in the Gerrard-Broadview area, Ka Ka (which means Lucky in Chinese) seems to be the most durable. The restaurant always has customers in it, and there's often a lineup in the front for the butcher to chop up chicken, duck, roast pork or char siu. This is despite 4 or 5 competitors within a 60-second walk!

The steam table always has sweet-and-sour pork, tofu, and veggies that are a bargain. The vegetarian rolls, when available, are a small luxury in relative terms (since there's lots of choices of meals under $5), but really are a bargain in the bigger picture.

The restaurant may have changed hands once or twice in the past 20 years, which is an eternity in Chinese restaurants. This is honest, high quality food at amazing prices, and (depending on what you order) could be the most nutritious bang-for-the-buck in town.

You won't impress a date with the plastic tablecloths. She'll either be impressed or turned off by the authentic Cantonese experience.

This holiday season has been full of great eatin’, but I am looking forward to returning to the once-a-day mission of finding some of the city’s best eats. What better place to start then than with our local, Chinatown East lunch-hour go-to? Recommended by Blair Phillips, tried (numerous times) by the MIJO sales team, and tested by the RAOB, Ka Ka Lucky is much, much more than just a sexy-sounding place to eat.Packed daily with locals, Gwielows and neighbourhood police officers, Lunch Specials see the owners chopping-up one, two or three BBQ meats along side Steamed Broccoli and White Rice. There’s also a daily hot-plate buffet to choose from and a 100+ item a la carte menu for those not wishing to eat what has been hanging in the window. On your way home from work? Whole Chickens are chopped into 8 pieces and are available three different ways. The stuff of legend, entire pigs are also available BBQ`d, chopped and delivered. I think I am going to pre-order for our annual Super Bowl Party. They say that the “Best BBQ Pork in North America” can be found at Kom Jug Yuen in Chinatown. I reckon Ka Ka Lucky gives them a real run for their money… any time of the day. Places like this really prove that there are great spots to eat on all sides of this city. Lookout Chinatown; Chinatown East is on the way up… and Ka Ka Lucky is on top of its game. Thirsty? They’re licenced under LLBO and are located one block south of Gerrard on the east side of Broadview Ave.Xièxie!
