Had a great meal here with my husband. We shared the arugula salad (weak, tasted like what I make at home), fried gnocchi (delicious), octopus (cooked very well), duck breast sliders (more of a sandwich than a slider but very good), and Korean style ribs (very good, a little too salty). They also gave us a free amuse bouche of falafel ball in creme fraiche sauce. This was an added bonus and was very tasty! All in all a great meal at a reasonable price. Nice cocktail menu as well. We'd return!

Even as the cast iron calamari ($15) was presented, I could tell it was cooked perfectly - the hot pan gave it a quick sear, leaving the protein tender. Since the squid wasn’t grilled, there’s not a strong smoky flavour, instead, the crispy garlic pesto shone through. Dots of fried capers were a nice contrast and the diced lemon segments a tart surprise, rather than the typical lemon wedge.

Despite the beef patties being cooked through (ideal for those who are squeamish about pink meat), the sliders ($15) were still juicy thanks to the bacon lardon pieces mixed into the beef. The flavourful patty held up against the slice of sharp cheddar, tangy pickles, and chili mix on top.

Entice’s mains certainly don’t lack flavour. The Korean beef ribs ($27) had the customary sweet garlicky soy marinade with the caramelized barbeque char. Even the shoestring fries were topped with ample amounts of chopped kimchi for a sharp acidity; the spicy pungent vegetable means you definitely don’t need ketchup. Meanwhile, the vinegary Asian slaw was cooling, cutting against the rich tacky ribs.

The sea bream ($27) was an excellent suggestion from our waitress, the fish’s skin so crispy it could have doubled for a chip, while the mild fish still moist. On the bottom, the zucchini noodles were light and satisfying; the roasted rapini and fennel adding

One of the best contemporary restaurant in downtown Toronto.... Globally inspired and locally sourced with finest organic ingredients. The open concept of dining and bar area is so inviting and filled with artworks and great features. I strongly recommend this great place for any occasion.

This spot is relatively new on west queen west... It's gorgeous inside. And you can see right into the kitchen where they work their magic!! It's a bit on he pricey side when it comes to cocktails...but the meals are beautiful and oh so tasty!!!! I had the Strip Loin steak with yucca fries and asparagus with a special aoli dip. It. Was. Heaven. Plus the chef came out to explain the menu and answer questions too. Nice touch. Will def go back!!!

Entice Culinary Lounge is a new upscale bistro that opened earlier last month on Queen and Ossington. The bistro aims to offer "a globally-inspired menu" with their plentiful offerings. Entering the space, Entice Culinary Lounge's interior looks very modern and sleek with its contemporary design. I was personally enthralled by the bar counter top, as flat screens have been retrofitted to play classic silent movies on a loop. It adds quite the touch to the overall look of the bistro.

The menu is headed by Executive Chef Ryan Wilson-Lall who has created a very diverse menu including items such as mushroom moccachino, k-beef ribs, whipped porcini egg white, sour cherry duck breast, and butternut squash gnocchi. Wilson-Lall draws inspiration from Toronto's diverse culture, and uses a selection of fresh seasonal ingredients to create Entice Culinary Lounge's menu. Looking at their menu, I can see that they offer a wide selection of dishes that would satisfy various people's tastes. Overall, Entice Culinary Lounge doesn't adhere to one particular cuisine, but rather is a conglomerate of a global fusion of flavors which is a welcome feat. Entice Culinary Lounge is open for dinner Tues-Wed from 5 pm to 12 am, and Thurs-Sat from 5 pm to 2 am. They also offer brunch on Saturday and Sunday starting at 10:30 am.

I had the opportunity to attend their launch party a couple of weeks ago, where guests were treated to signature cocktails, and passed canapes that showcases what the bistro has to offer.

Poised to be the new hotspot of Queen West, Entice Culinary Lounge opened their doors last month and I got to check out the neon lit bar first hand with Sandi (from Foodaholic). Another attraction of the bar, besides the glasses of red wine, was the countertop of screens playing black and white movies, lighting up each drink. We spent the evening sampling scrumptious bites from the kitchen prepared by Chef Ryan Wilson-Lall and sous Chef Justin Cleva.

This culinary lounge is set on trendy Queen Street West.  The room tonight is packed with foodies and city’s most fashionable.  A surprise because I never thought of pairing fashion and food, but it just makes sense!  The whole rooms plays on classic and modern décor.  The bar is made of silent movie LCD screens playing clips of the films.  In one corner a DJ is playing beats and in the far back a pane of glass separates the room from the hard working kitchen.  Chef Ryan Wilson-Lall utilizes local seasonal ingredients for his bistro menu inspired by global cuisines and culture.
