Have dined here many times when called to Toronto on government business. Conveniently close to Sherway as I often have to shop for something I forgot to pack. Usually keep it simple with either Italian Wedding or Minestrone soup with fresh made spaghetti and meatballs. Have always been impressed with staff, price , quantity and food quality and have no problem returning. Chicken Parmesan also an excellent choice.
Even though I am not a huge Italian food fan this place is pretty good. The mussels and veal Marsala are my favourites. A good place to take the kids.
I like this place. Not fine dining, but reasonable, tasty Italian food. Rocco's sticks out a bit like a sore thumb in a mostly industrial neighbourhood. The outside has a coral pink Mediterranean stucco finish. On the inside the decor is decidedly Italian.
When it comes to Italian food, one of SWMBO's favourites is Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was evenly breaded, and was probably deep fried. The penne pasta was al dente, with a nice tomato sauce.
One of my favourite Italian dishes is Eggplant Parmigiana. Rocco's is thinly sliced and breaded, and properly cooked all the way through. It was accompanied by a side of salad.
This restaurant was very good. We went there for lunch and started with the calamari. It was very good, crispy and not too oily. The fried basil was a nice touch.
After that we had 2 Italian panini sandwiches: the chicken and spicy sicilian. Both were very good, packed with veggies and meat and very filling.
My only complaint: DO NOT ask them for Sangria. We asked and they said they could make it and we had some terrible mixture of bad wine and juice. Just undrinkable.
We sat outside on their patio and that was enjoyable. The service was also good. Straight to the point but pleasant.
Best dinner ever. OMG. That was the best dinner iv ever had. Freshest seafood. Crazy tasty cream sauce. Generous portions. Courteous, knowledgeable wait staff. Sweet and oh so yummy dessert. Nice soft Italian music. Great atmosphere. Not a single complaint. Defiantly hv made a repeat customer out of me.
Love this place. I always order the veal in wine mushroom sauce. Awesome. Veal is always perfect as is the angel hair pasta that I have on the side. I'm hooked for life.
