Craft Beer in Unpretentious Surroundings. This place has really grown on me since over the past year. Make no mistake, it isn't a high-brow bar, it feels more like one's living room instead. The main night time bartender, Patrick, is great and really makes this a welcoming place. He is also one of the bar's owners.
This bar has great beer that is value-priced, and is local craft brewed from breweries such as: Mill Street, Steamwhistle, King, and Flying Monkees. They have beer specials on Monday evenings, any draft beer pitcher for 10 dollars. They also have shooter specials as well, but since I'm not a shooter person, I can't really comment on the quality of them.
As I mentioned earlier, it seems like a living room or basement recreation room because Wednesday evenings they have video and board game competitions. The sitting area is relatively small during the months when the large backyard patio isn't open.
The food is good, and they now have a printed menu. It is a rather limited selection, but I do highly recommend their burger. The kitchen is open to two in the morning, so if you need a late night fix, it is a good burgers and fries joint.
If you like "Hole in the wall" atmosphere, cramped quarters, and craft beer, then I think this a place people will generally like, quite probably a lot.
Happy Thursday! Please insert token “where has this week gone” expression here. This week’s thirsty thursday is another drink special at a local bar.
