The atmosphere in the place is very warm. Small, nature themed artwork lines the walls and a mirrored wallakes the place feel more spacious than it is. There is a gorgeous patio. I got the montreal smokes meat sandwitch on a kaiser and an iced chai. The drink is a decent size for its price (4$) but isn't as strong a chai taste as I would like. The sandwich comes with salt and pepper kettle chips which are a great side! The sandwich itself was decent. Soft bun, bitter greens, and the meat was an alright portion and was pretty bland tasting. Not the amazing smoked meat I have experienced in the past. As a 10$ lunch, it would give it a 7.5/10

While the cafe is a very nice spot, it, like so many cafes and espresso bars, suffers from a bad case of "stroller blight." The small space and narrow layout makes the cafe impossible when even one stroller is present, but far too often it's blessed with two or three. Parents of stroller-age children need to practice more respect for adult spaces. On to other things.

The water for the espresso ran through way too fast - about 5 seconds - making for a weak flavor and colour. Well, down the hatch none-the-less. After reading The Talk of The Town for about 10 minutes I ordered another hoping for better results. I was disappointed again. I suspect too course a grind or maybe loose tamping. Tough to say.

The cranberry scone was a bit "pastie" but not too bad. other than the stroller brigade the patrons seem like a well-heeled crowd. It's just across the street from a hospital so I expect they get a lot of traffic from those quarters.

Seating is a bit sparse but comfortable enough. Inside holds about 20 while the patio might seat 12. They have a bit of a catering business going on as well.

Overall most things seem to be going in the right direction. My only advice would be to get some expert help with the espresso and watch the cleanliness of the men's room. - Milerepa

Good coffee including espresso drinks. Tasty light fare, including a great selection of treats. Nice small patio, with rings to tie your dog to! Licensed and serves wine and beer. Owners are charming. I say give up the chains and support local business, especially when it's this good.

Good coffee. Friendly staff. Nice place to sit and have a glass of wine or a beer. Food is tasty. Prices are low when compared to the quality. Nice selection of art on the wall, most of which is for sale at exceptionally good prices.

We discovered this place while waiting for an appointment at Michael Garron Hospital and always drop by when in the neighborhood. It is a cheerful place, simple, bare but quiet (during the day). Art work always hangs on the wall, all of it for sale. The pieces are always fun, interesting, sometimes whimsical and unusual. The coffee is fabulous, done well and prepared quickly. The selection of food is good, something for every mood and all of it fresh and delicious. Natural light from the huge front window provides the lighting for the inside tables (there are a few outside in the patio in front as well) which gives the place a relaxing, unhurried feel. Highly recommended.

Went for breakfast. The friendly staff greeted me with a warm and sincere, "good morning". Service was quick, the food and coffee were of high quality at a fair price, and the atmosphere was cozy. I left satisfied and will certainly return!

Starbucks down the street was too busy so I decided to drop by and see if it was a suitable place to study. Incredibly welcoming and cozy environment with a super smooth dark roast. Highly recommend

The Last Drop Cafe was a oasis during our stay t Toronto East General. Having our twins in the hospital for a week meant spending a lot of time in the area and Last Drop was an extremely welcome respite from the monotony of the hospital's Tim Hortons and Subway. Home made sandwiches, pastries and coffee were amazing and Paula and her sister who own Last Drop were always there to warmly welcome us.

This is a charming cafe with really fun staff. The food is exceptional - especially the quiche. The coffee is always fresh as are the delicious baked goods.

I love the nanaimo bars here! Also a great place to have a pint or quick snack. Friendly staff and convenient location right by Michael Garron Hospital (Formerly Toronto East General).
