Green curry with shrimp. Spicey Papaya salad. Mango salad. Jasmine tea. All really good. Full of flavour. Filling. Delicious. About 20$pp @ lunch. Nice and quiet to enjoy the queen street show that are the pedestrians
Friendly androgynous server.
Decided to try this Thai restaurant for a change. Expect to receive a large portion of food. I ordered the Pad Thai, I found that it was extremely filling! The flavours in this dish are sweet and savoury, very flavourful. The noodles were smooth and the chicken was tender. They offer the perfect amount of peanuts but too much bean sprouts. The only part to the dish I didn't quite like was the tofu. It had a peculiar cheese like taste. The last part of my dish, I have gotten a tiny bowl of ice cream. It had a unique flavour, but tasted similar to chapmen's at some point. Overall most of the dish was quite good. The restaurant itself has a modern and fancy dining style.
Don't be fooled by the facade - it's a beautifully well appointed restaurant inside. Service was a bit slow to begin, but quite friendly. Food was brilliant - hot, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. My pad-see-ew was, I daresay, the best I've eaten in the city and the most satisfying lunch I've had in ages. Brown sauce (ordered spicy) was perfect, the Chinese broccoli crisp, and the chicken & shrimp perfectly done. My lunch mate had a vegetarian curry lunch special, which was cooked to perfection (vegetables still firm, curry spiced just enough, everything well seasoned). The mango salad was spot on. We'll be making this our neighbourhood staple from here on in.
