We were heading out for some errands on a Sunday, and we stopped at Bow Thai for lunch. It is a small-ish eatery with seating for 34. There are two booths for four, and the rest of the tables are 2-tops that can be pulled together to seat 4 or more people. There was only one other table of four seated when we arrived.
SWBMO had the Pad See-Ew with Beef and I picked the Pad Thai with Chicken. The portions were pretty big. We probably should have ordered an appetizer and just one of the dishes, which would have been more than enough. The dishes were served piping hot, and were full of flavour. We were stuffed and satisfied.
This is my go to place for fresh, delicious Thai food! Their vegetable curry pad thai and mango salad are my personal favourites.
When I dine there with my family, we usually order the samosas, green mango salad, vegetable curry pad thai, and pineapple fried rice. All this food is usually gone by the end because it is just so TASTY!
The restaurant is a small space, but this is more of a take-out restaurant. The food is prepared fresh and super quickly. The portions are perfect for sharing... it is always fun to mix and match.
Excellent!. My husband and I live in North York and were looking for Thai delivery. Excellent food (we ordered four dishes for leftovers) great quality, fast delivery, authentic Thai. We will definitely order again! :)
Late review but this counts. People were complaining about service delays. There was none to speak of. The food was tasty, and plentiful. I would next time request that the sauce be thickened up. Other than that, its a tough call for my next thai order as ThaiOneOn is down the road and makes a mean red curry veggy dish.
Yummy Thai!. Ordered the chicken pad thai, spring rolls, and red curry, everything was great, not too heavy and nice level of spice. We had take out and it was definitely too much for 2 people but great for 4, so great prices. They through in free samosas which was nice but we couldnt eat them as we were so full.
Yummy!. Have eaten here twice and both times was met with great personal service and very tasty food. The menu is well priced and you don't have to wait very long for your food despite what others have experienced. They seemed to have found their stride since they opened and are now fully licenced! Love this place!
Another fair restaurant with decent food and not muchin the way of atmosphere. To be fair, the place is in the middle of basically nowhere, and most of the customersdon't really stay; it looks like more of a take-out/delivery joint than a place people come to dine. The Thai is good, but I was a little disappointed that therewas no Som Tam (Papaya Salad) on the menu. For me, that's really the litmus test for a true Thai restaurant: you'dbe challenged to go anywhere in Thailand and find a menuw/o Som Tam on it (or at least a vendor who wouldn't makeit for you if they didn't bother with a menu).
Bow Thai is located in a complex that's almost in the middle of nowhere! In a large residential neighborhood in North York on Leslie St heading up to Van Horne, Bow Thai sits at a corner. However, the food and the portions more than make up for the obscure location. It's a small restaurant that can seat about 15 or so. We ordered a Tom Yum soup, a chicken with cashew nuts, and Pad Thai. The soup was great - spicy enough, but not enough to make you not eat it. The chicken with cashew nuts was good too - sweet and spicy interlaced between the chicken, peppers and cashew nuts. We also ordered a portion of spring rolls which went really well with the dip it came with. The curry Pad Thai that I ordered was huuuugeeee!!! It most certainly was for 2 people and not one. As far as authenticity goes, I don't think it was the most authentic, but it tasted good as heck! I couldn't finished it, so had it bagged and heated it later in the night and it was still tasting great.Overall, nice place for a decent Thai meal if you're around Leslie Street.
