The elegant and bright King’s Café on Augusta south of Nassau is a wonderful Asian vegetarian/vegan restaurant with a delicious selection of freshly made dishes, served by terrific staff, at reasonable prices. A must go-to oasis!. Author: gastroflaneur. I love traveling and posting here Special Meals as well as great & cheap Good Eats oases along the way
Kings Cafe is one of the latest coffee shops to spring up in East Vancouver and one of the few places that serves alcohol. Like the words decorated on the window, “Good Things Happen Over Coffee, Beer and Wine,” it speaks to the vibe you feel inside. Relaxed, comfortable and an oasis for students to go and study, all over what is offered inside. Having been commuting past this busy big street for years, it’s a nice to see a proper coffee shop addition to the neighbourhood.
just so so. Food is tasteless. Especially pan fried radish pastry! Small soup is enough for two people. If you eat alone, order the XS one. Sao mai is no favor at all. the only taste good thing is fried chicken.
I am a vegan. I loved this Restaurant! Staff are friendly, food is out if this world, price is fantastic!
Highly recommended!
Delicious vegetation food that could fool your non vegetarian friends, great service, fantastic prices, what more could you ask for! I definitely recommend this place!!
Love this place! Delicious food, extensive menu, reasonably priced, clean modern restaurant, attentive staff. Couldn't ask for more. The food is amazing and tastes brilliant every time.
Unique ambience compared to most Asian places. Food is medicore. But service is exceptional. Without asking we were reimbersed for ovecooked food. Service is worth going back for a second time.
Delicious, healthy. I liked this place better when I wasn't gluten-free (the faux meats are amazing) but it is consistently delicious and there's always something new to try. Can't find better for veggies.
Family of four went to King's Cafe, ordered the Lemongrass Fried rice which was excellent! As well as BBQ Seitan, Soy drumsticks, Crispy Duck Seitan, and Singapore noodles. All dishes were amazing! Our top faves were the Lemongrass Rice and the BBQ Seitan! Totally recommend this place to anyone who loves well balanced flavors that aren't too heavy.
Great menu. Stumbled upon this place late one night when everything else in Kensington was closed. I usually can't eat much on a vegetarian menu because of a soy allergy, but their menu had many soy-free choices. We were pleasantly surprised--food was delicious, tea was amazing, and the service was fast and attentive. Simple, modern decor, and very clean. One of the best places to eat in Kensington.
