Sushi is an acquired taste and Mi Ne Sushi really delivers. The decor is minimal but really apt. The servers were very friendly and helped out with what to order. My favourite was the spider roll.
I tried one of their sushi, sashimi and rolls take-out platter from this place. The selection and freshness of the fish was very decent for affordable sushi. The raw shrimp tasted fresh, and the rolls were well made, although the fillings weren't as flavourful as I would have liked. Also, their spicy salmon was way more panko crumbs and sauce than fish. This place is certainly better than most sushi places in the city, but not a place I would deliberately go to unless its location happened to be very convenient at the time.

Stopped in on a Saturday night. Right away I loved the cuteness of this place. There are some little booths along the wall when you walk in that have privacy curtains. They look like they fit about 4 people but since we were just two and the booths were already full we got a table by the front window. This place is tiny and filled up very quickly.
We followed our usual sushi routine and split some veggie gyoza and vegetable tempura to start and ordered vegetarian maki rolls. We ordered two yam tempura rolls, one veggie roll and one asparagus avocado cucumber (AAC) roll. Everything was truly delicious. I was really happy to find veggie gyoza on the meu and they were nice and crunchy. I really liked the presentation of the yam tempura rolls, but the veggie roll was definitely my favourite. It had cucumber, avocado, pickled radish and squash. I love avocado, the cucumber made it taste refreshing and the radish and squash added a nice depth. I would say the only thing the menu is missing would be some kind of "signature" vegetarian maki roll and maybe a vegetarian spicy crispy roll. Otherwise it did seem like a great menu and there were a few things I would be interested in going back to try.
The service was pretty good despite the two servers being swamped with dine-in and take-out orders. Our water glasses were always promptly refilled and we were in and out pretty quick. We were also given fresh little oranges at the end of our meal which was a nice touch.
I've been to the Mi•Ne Sushi location near my house up in Markham, but this was my first time at the downtown Toronto location. I ordered take-out but the restaurant itself was packed with people inside and outside on the patio. I ordered their lunch sushi special D. It came with 7 pieces of sushi and 6 pieces of spicy salmon, along with a miso soup and salad. The soup was a little too salty, but the salad was good.

The only thing I was confused is why the dressing was over all the lettuce lol it was very hard and messy to eat that. The sushi itself was pretty good. I think they used a bit too much rice though, but the fish was fresh. The spicy salmon was my favorite and very delicious.
This place has such good sushi! I have always liked Moto Sushi at yonge and sheppard and since I started living downtown, I have only been dining here for sushi. The amount of fish they add in their sushi, I wonder if they even realize it. They are big chunks of salmon and you can taste them unlike other sushi places. I love their Orangeville sushi set but recently they have been very oily. It tastes amazing! Full of flavours and scallops and salmon. You also have to have it in bites of two - yeh it's that big.

A friend and I ended up at this place trying to get out of the rain while we waited for the Jays home opener to start. The original plan was to go to St.Louis, but the line up to get in was crazy, so we opted for the cute sushi place next door, and I'm happy we did.
This place is pretty small, about three booths off to the side and then maybe 7 tables. We were greeted pretty much right away, and even though it is small, we got a table right away too. We initially were just in for drinks, but the menu was just too tempting.
We both ordered a small Sapporo (I think the difference is small is a bottle and large is the big cans). My friend ordered the sashimi salad and a spicy salmon roll and I ordered the Orangeville roll. The salad came out right away and it looked fresh and tasty and my friend enjoyed it. The rolls were massive. I could barely fit one piece in my mouth, but as lady like as I could, I managed to cram each piece into my mouth whole, except the last, I would have chocked on it, and no body wants that. The rolls themselves were made nicely, fresh tasting, and not too spicy. I think both of us would have like the sauce to be a bit spicier, but we had wasabi so all was good.
The thing that made my night was the random avocado in the bathroom. Not sure if it was decor, or someone forgot some of their groceries, but it made me laugh (simple things make me smile). Oh and the bathrooms we really clean.
Overall I really liked this place, service was quick, food was good, and the place was clean. I shall return.

The BEST sushi ever!. I love sushi and have tried many places in Toronto, Ottawa, Oakville, Montreal... and this one is the best by far. A little on the pricey side but totally worth it! I try to go for dinner anytime I can.
Fantastic fresh sushi with great service. Presentation was phenomenal and the value is there with very generous portions. Best in Aurora by far.
