This is a small chain. The food is fresh. Dumplings are handmade on premises. They are really good. The ones with soup inside are to die for. The room is big and clean. The other dishes are good as well. Good value for money
The food was great and ver flavored. The portions were good and didn’t leave you hungry. The atmosphere was good as was the service. I would definitely recommend everyone to attend and enjoy a grea5 meal with family and or friends.
We enjoyed our dining experience at Asian Legend. The food was mostly good and the service was quick. Dim sum was juicy and flavorful and so were the beef noodles. General Tao chicken was more batter than chicken and the dan dan noodles were bland. Staff cleaning tables were exceptionally loud and the sound of dishes smashing was a bit annoying at times. But overall we enjoyed the food and their prices were fair.
H was craving Asian food, so for lunch, we trotted over to Chinatown to see what we could find. D was able to take a break from work, and met us at Asian Legend for a quick bite of Shanghai. We were not disappointed, despite the outside of the restaurant looking dingy and the inside looking dimly lit. The washrooms were quite nasty. Typical Chinese restaurant smell and atmosphere, we felt right at home.
This place is amazing I love the small eats here which is pretty much dim sum but it's Taiwanese style! The green onion pan cakes are amazing so fluffy and light but my favorite dish here is the soup dumplings are the bomb! You also need to try the onion pancake with sliced beef (looks like a burrito) but it's amazing light airy just delicious! They have such a good variety in their menu that it's a must try in china town for sure!!
The food is authentic and reasonably priced, and the service was very quick. Almost right after we finished our dishes, they would be picked up. The decor is nice and clean compared to other Chinese restaurants. Although the dim sum is not pushed around in the traditional manner, I would come back to this restaurant.
Overall: Good relatively-authentic food (though it's not really Northern Chinese), Good service
I had their Jellyfish Salad, Hot and Sour Soup, and Soup Filled Dumplings with Dried Scallop Pork and Luffa. Their Jellyfish Salad was exquisite- the right amount of soysauce and garlic, and the unique crunchy texture was addicting. Their Hot and Sour soup was great- unlike many other Chinese restaurants here, this place does not ise ketchup to flavor the soup (at least I cannot taste it), which adds to the authenticity. I didn't really enjoy the soup-filled dumplings though (particularly this one)- I am not entirely sure if it's just the ones I had, but the inside tasted bland (maybe too much luffa? Not too sure). The food came really quick and the waitress was nice as well. The place was really clean and simple decor with good lighting made this place feel more fancy than other restaurants in Chinatown. I want to come back next time and try other dishes (regular xiaolongbaos and maybe noodles?)
Delicious food. The XLB was amazing! Prompt service. Nice setting. Very reasonable. I don't understand the bad reviews. Go try it yourself and discover how great it is!
Pretty great food! Love the dim sum, will be back. Service could be better though.
Very good. More north Americanized but tasty. Pleasantly surprised.
My go-to Chinese food place. When my parents visit, we always come here. I have ordered different dishes and never once disappointed! I’d said their soup dumplings are top notch, probably the best in Toronto. I also really liked their green beans, dim sum, and ma po tofu.
So happy to get a chance to taste some of the best northern chinese dishes

The dim-sum selection was very vast and extraordinary as well as the rest of the menu. The decor was amazing and the service was quick and efficient. Definitely a top notch restaurant.
I had a very nice dinner with my family at this snug and casual restaurant at Chinatown! We were hungry so we ordered several dishes including crab pork dumplings, beef onion rolls, spicy clear bean noodles, shredded pork with veggies, snowpea shoots and Yangzhou fried rice! All dishes were tasty! I am very into spicy food and I can say that the spicy clean bean noodles really satisfied my appetite! My son always orders fried rice at Chinese restaurants, and he said that the fried rice here was one of the best he’s ever had! Very friendly staff, very quick service, very comfortable seating! Highly recommend!
Food was good, service is good but not great. We had the peking duck, cantonese chowmein and dumplings which all were great and high quality.
UPDATE: Service was okay when they are busy but when dead they were more courteous. They constantly refilled our waters and gave us new plates which was a change from the first time I went there. Good job Asian Legend!
