First time we have ever sat in a Turkish restaurant and had a proper authentic Turkish meal and absolutely blown away. (Yes I've eaten kebabs from a takeaway after a nightshift) But this is another level. Had your Anatolian feast for 2 and can honestly say we couldn't fault the food the service or the staff. Will definitely be visiting again.
We went to Anatolia Restaurant as a group of 5 adults. We ordered various foods and beverages, including iskender, meze platter, beyti kebap, anatolia mixed plate, deserts and ayran. We were amazed by the quality of food and service, which made us feel home. Definitely recommended if you would like to taste Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine at a great atmosphere with a friendly staff!
I had never had Turkish Food and this was recommended by a coworker. This was a great place. The service was excellent and the food was equally good
We were a party of four with some knowledge of Turkish food. Our server gave us a number of suggestions, all of which were outstanding. Avoid the standard dishes and seek out their specialties, they are well worth trying.
Small but nice decoration. I had lentil soup to begin with and it was good! I tried manti which is beef dumpling served with yogurt. It was amazing! Also had a mixed platter for 1, got to try the chicken lamb and beef kebab. For desert had Turkish tea Turkish coffee and kenefe. Definitely will be back!
Amazing food .. The mezi platter and their bread is a must try .. We tried many plates but my favourite is the Manti .. I even liked their decoration/paintings
Service a bit slow, authentic feel though.. Visited on a Sat at 8pm made reservations for 2. We were promptly seated, bit it took 30 min before they took our order. The 40 seat restaurant was full. Decor is eclectic, and felt comfortable. The only Turkish beer they had was Lefe, they ran out of beer glasses though so I drank out of the can. The Sheppard's salad is just a regular salad and was $10. My wife ordered the Beyti which was good, but not worth the price. I had the Ali which was lamb and eggplant. It tasted amazing portion was generous. Total was $67 for 2 mains, 1 app and 1 drink.
Average. This place is ok. A bit pricey. The portions are ok. There are better Turkish restaurant in TO.
DELICIOUS!!!. I wish I could eat here every day! We just moved to Toronto and being the foodies that we are, we've been trying a lot of different restaurants. This has been one of our favorite restaurants so far. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. We went here with our Turkish friend and she confirmed that it was just like being in Turkey. The dishes are so good!!! We had several things one the menu and loved everything. It's a bit pricey, but that's how much good quality food costs. It also took a while for the food to come, but that's because it seems that everything is made from scratch. I wish I could eat here at least once a week - it's just that good!
Excellent!. Went there on a Saturday night. Place was packed! Food and service were excellent!
Try the walnut dip appetizer.
Love this place. I started coming here when I worked nearby and still make sure to visit a few times a year. The walnut spread is addictive and I love the Beyti so much (a dish featuring ground beef and lamb wrapped in phyllo and covered in tomato sauce and ground pistachios) that I can't bring myself to order anything else when I go. It's a small and unassuming place but well worth a visit.
Very impressed!. This was probably my first time ever trying Turkish food. There was a group of about 6 of us and in order to try as much as possible, we asked the waitress to pick out a bunch of appetizers and mains from the menu to share.
The waitress was SOO friendly and helpful!
After our meals we all ordered Turkish coffee and asked the waitress to read us our fortunes. She was humble about it, and said she wasn't too good at it, but WOW she was impressive! So much fun! :)
Great food!!! I was told that turkish food is good and they were right! This restaurant has Turkish traditional food and it was very good. We ordered Imam Bayikdi, Karides Tava (picture) Hünkar Begendi (other picture) and Shish Kebab (pictured here but already started eating:)). The best part was the service. They are very attentive and have great customer service. Everybody was very nice especially Andrea. I will definitely come back with the family.
I came here with my wife last month and enjoyed it so much that I came with the rest of my family a week later. Both experiences were great. We sat outside, right in front of the restaurant, due to the covid restrictions at the time. The restaurant wasn’t busy either time I went and the service was exceptional. The staff was kind and accommodating to us. All the food tastes amazing and is of good quality. Make sure to try a variety of things, and especially order the walnut spread as an appetizer.
Went to Anatolia yesterday for dinner and had a great experience with the ambience, their service and delicious food. They were really accommodating with us showing up half an hour before they close. Could not recommend more!
A great local spot for Turkish cuisine. The food here is tasty and fresh. The prices are fair for the quality you receive. I'd suggest the warm hummus, manti, and beyti.
I enjoyed the experience at Anatolia Restaurant. The thing that stood out the most is their customer service. Patient, informative, friendly and attentive. Really well done.
We were a group of 3 and we tried the following:
Meze Tabağı (Bread with multiple spreads) (Also received a salad as a compliment) - Really enjoyed the different flavors of the spreads especially the Tomato and Walnut ones. The salad was great as well
Black Sea Chicken - I tried this one and I felt the flavors could be better. The chicken was made probably with the same tomato base as the spread mentioned above. I somehow felt this wasn't as special as I would have wanted it to be. Next time I will try the Hunkar Begendi which was sold out when we dined.
Manti - My friends had this one and thoroughly enjoyed this beef/gnocchi/dumpling style dish with Turkish spices
Baklava (and Turkish Delight which was given to us as a compliment) - Was really good and flavorful
Turkish Coffee - The star of the night for me! Amazing
I would return to Anatolia to try their other offerings. Would highly recommend.
Please don’t waste your time reading the reviews, as a Turkish person I can easily say this is the best restaurant to try Turkish food. Hunkar beyendi ( lamb meat over roasted eggplant) was simply INCREDIBLE and my friend who ordered stuffed artichoke was also very impressed. The dippings we ordered were also perfect, I really regret not visiting earlier! I definitely suggest it!!!
Loved all the food we had here. The food and very friendly service are 5 stars. Many options for Vegetarians. The hummus , the walnut spread are so good, we got the veggie platter which gave us a great sampling of their spreads. The artichoke dish was amazing. You cant go wrong ordering anything here. If in doubt, just ask for assistance and you will be given great recommendations. The Turkish coffee is authentic and you do get a Turkish Delight with it. The Keskul for dessert was a great way to end the night. Thank you Anatolia for bringing back wonderful memories of our amazing times in Turkey.
We ordered the mixed grill. You get a variety of meats and they were spiced and cooked perfectly. It also comes with rice, bulgar, salad and pita. Flavours were on point and the sauces that come with are delicious. Portions are large, though I still find it a little expensive. Would definitely return!
