Dora Keogh is a pretty tough name to pronounce, but nonetheless it's an Irish pub that looked to be set in the early part of the 20th century. The place itself has a rustic old look and feel that I was actually digging. As soon as you walk in, you get a sense that you transported through time a bit. The ordering can be done at the bar as they dont have servers come by with menus to take your order. After you order though, they will come by to deliver the food to wherever you are seated.
Menu was small and focused on some items like burgers, wings, pastas, etc. The burgers looked real good and that's what most of my party ordered, but I opted for wings. The wings are lightly battered and tossed in a tangy barbecue sauce that was fairly rich and was probably made with a good bit of alcohol. The wings were large and crisp and for about $12, you get a solid pound.
The service is nice and friendly, while the live music they had going was real good. They had a nice mix of blues rock with jazz undertones. The place seems more like a hipster hangout for the Prohibition era, but was still a good place to grab a bite and drink.
