Holy chuck, holy COW, hands down best burger ever! The meat is juicy, tender, fresh, high quality with flavorful toppings. I rave about this place to everyone, just wish they had more locations outside of downtown core in the east end of the city (hint hint).
The beef is absolutely tasty and juicy. This place is made for those who like to try unique and good burgers. The fries can be better though, but overall they deserve a 4, perhaps because I was too hungry.
I cannot begin to explain how exquisite the burgers are here. If you are a fan of burgers, this place is a MUST Try. I have tried most of the items here and my biggest recommendation goes to the Raging Bull. But if it’s your first visit, The classic Holy Chuck must be your first experience. The shakes, although questionable with the ingredients, mix so well with the burgers. Last but not the least, Holy Chuck always keeps the Go Chuck Yourself Challenge in every outlet. Did that peak your interest? Then go visit Holy Chuck. 5 Stars!

On the plus side, very good burgers. On the negative side, pretty expensive. After seeing a recent article about the top 50 burgers in Canada, SWBMO and I decided to give Holy Chuck a try for lunch, on our way to an event downtown.
SWBMO chose The Big Chuck, which they describe as . She had hers well done. Essentially their version of a Big Mac. While the flavours were Big Mac-ish, it was better. But at $12.59 (no sides), the parallel ends.
I went for The Holy Chuck (their signature), which was a double cheeseburger with bacon & caramelized onions, which they subtitled with “please don’t put any toppings!!” ($11.49). I had mine cooked medium. The meat was soft and juicy. I really like that you can choose medium, medium-well or well done. The big pile of onions added a nice sweetness to each bite.
We also shared one order of Panko Crusted Onion Rings “delicious, but not so homemade” ($5.49). Sweet, salty, crunchy on the outside, soft and slippery on the inside. Pretty good rings.
Add two fountain drinks and taxes, and the above hit $38.65. Not a cheap lunch, but it was tasty.
Okay before start.. Let me say... Am a vegetarian and yes there are only two options available here.
The Vegan burger and Animal feed... They were so perfect and the buns were soft. Tried the honey peanut butter with sea salt milkshake and it was ok. There are better options to try though!
The burgers are really great... And will try non vegetarian burgers next time. The price is worth the taste so go for a try!
One of the best burgers, poutine and milkshakes I've had in a long time. The meats in the burger are cooked to perfection . Highly recommend the smoke cow and the Nutella/salted caramel milkshake. Really enjoyed my meal at this place.
Finally tried the place to be for burgers!The place was packed being a Friday night and we had to wait about half an hour.My order was for their vegetarian burger 'Animal Feed' and a 'Grazer'. The grazer was huge with grilled cheese sandwich buns.The animal feed is nothing but Portobello mushroom fried patty.The burgers were good but not as awesome as I had dreamed them to be. A bit on the pricier end to be honest.
Another night may be to try their nutella shakes.
Best burgers EVER ! They really don't mess around, they make then fast and fresh and you can pick how much you went it cooked I recommend medium rare. Also they have fresh cut sweet potato fries and milkshakes:)
When these guys get it right their burgers are unrivaled. When they don't get it right you might as well burn your money. Consistency is Holy Chucks biggest issue. This might not be a big deal if the average meal here didn't cost 20+ dollars. But it does so when I'm contemplating to dine here I always hesitate knowing that either I'm going get my money's worth or the meal will be a complete flop. It's like playing roulette. I hope the owner addresses this because as I've said already when they get it right there's none better.
If you measure how good restaurants are by how bad their food is for you, then Holy Chuck must have 5 Michelin stars. They've taken the Toronto burger scene by storm since their opening a couple years ago with a menu that seems to promote obesity – double cheeseburgers between two grilled cheese sandwiches, a cheeseburger topped with potato chips and a fried egg, a double cheeseburger between two B.L.T.s – your pant size seems to grow and your arteries seem to harden just by reading their black humour-filled menu.

They should really clean up the whole seating area, but the burgers are truly exceptional so I overlook the decor and ambiance. I've never bothered with anything other than the Holy Chuck and an order of hand-cut fries (and a very occasional shake) because they are so damned good, so I am clueless about the rest of the menu.
[4.5 out of 5 stars] I have been a regular patron to Holy Chuck and I'm very satisfied with the burgers + sides (fries and onion rings). I really appreciate the ability to customize the burger toppings and how the patty is cooked. Although I found my patty to be over-cooked (medium-well to well-done) most of the time I come here when I actually ordered medium. This is not a deal breaker as the burger is still juicy, moist, and tender. The service staff is as always excellent; very courteous and polite. The waiting time for the order is surprisingly fast too.
I had the chicken one and also the signiture burger. Both were tasty. The chicken was so crispy, and signature beef was amazing which had salty and juicy beef with crispy bacon and sweet onions. The combination of flavour was superb!
I was really surprised to how well made the burger was. The buns were really soft and fresh, meat was cooked to my liking, and the condiments blended well with each other. Overall, its a great place for burger enthusiasts like me, and is worth try their burgers at least once.
Got the classic chuck and it was great! The softness of the burger was unexpected but very welcome. Customized my poutine to get it with yam fries, tried the original as well, and you can’t go wrong with either!
Everything about the meal was perfect! From the brioche bun, marple smoked bacon to the foie gras, hint of marple syrup and white truffle and the fries. The interior looks rather shabby but good food is about the taste. Very highly recommend!
