Holy chuck, holy COW, hands down best burger ever! The meat is juicy, tender, fresh, high quality with flavorful toppings. I rave about this place to everyone, just wish they had more locations outside of downtown core in the east end of the city (hint hint).
The beef is absolutely tasty and juicy. This place is made for those who like to try unique and good burgers. The fries can be better though, but overall they deserve a 4, perhaps because I was too hungry.
I cannot begin to explain how exquisite the burgers are here. If you are a fan of burgers, this place is a MUST Try. I have tried most of the items here and my biggest recommendation goes to the Raging Bull. But if it’s your first visit, The classic Holy Chuck must be your first experience. The shakes, although questionable with the ingredients, mix so well with the burgers. Last but not the least, Holy Chuck always keeps the Go Chuck Yourself Challenge in every outlet. Did that peak your interest? Then go visit Holy Chuck. 5 Stars!

On the plus side, very good burgers. On the negative side, pretty expensive. After seeing a recent article about the top 50 burgers in Canada, SWBMO and I decided to give Holy Chuck a try for lunch, on our way to an event downtown.
SWBMO chose The Big Chuck, which they describe as . She had hers well done. Essentially their version of a Big Mac. While the flavours were Big Mac-ish, it was better. But at $12.59 (no sides), the parallel ends.
I went for The Holy Chuck (their signature), which was a double cheeseburger with bacon & caramelized onions, which they subtitled with “please don’t put any toppings!!” ($11.49). I had mine cooked medium. The meat was soft and juicy. I really like that you can choose medium, medium-well or well done. The big pile of onions added a nice sweetness to each bite.
We also shared one order of Panko Crusted Onion Rings “delicious, but not so homemade” ($5.49). Sweet, salty, crunchy on the outside, soft and slippery on the inside. Pretty good rings.
Add two fountain drinks and taxes, and the above hit $38.65. Not a cheap lunch, but it was tasty.
Okay before start.. Let me say... Am a vegetarian and yes there are only two options available here.
The Vegan burger and Animal feed... They were so perfect and the buns were soft. Tried the honey peanut butter with sea salt milkshake and it was ok. There are better options to try though!
The burgers are really great... And will try non vegetarian burgers next time. The price is worth the taste so go for a try!
One of the best burgers, poutine and milkshakes I've had in a long time. The meats in the burger are cooked to perfection . Highly recommend the smoke cow and the Nutella/salted caramel milkshake. Really enjoyed my meal at this place.
Finally tried the place to be for burgers! The place was packed being a Friday night and we had to wait about half an hour.My order was for their vegetarian burger 'Animal Feed' and a 'Grazer'. The grazer was huge with grilled cheese sandwich buns. The animal feed is nothing but Portobello mushroom fried patty. The burgers were good but not as awesome as I had dreamed them to be. A bit on the pricier end to be honest.
Another night may be to try their nutella shakes.
Best burgers EVER ! They really don't mess around, they make then fast and fresh and you can pick how much you went it cooked I recommend medium rare. Also they have fresh cut sweet potato fries and milkshakes:)
When these guys get it right their burgers are unrivaled. When they don't get it right you might as well burn your money. Consistency is Holy Chucks biggest issue. This might not be a big deal if the average meal here didn't cost 20+ dollars. But it does so when I'm contemplating to dine here I always hesitate knowing that either I'm going get my money's worth or the meal will be a complete flop. It's like playing roulette. I hope the owner addresses this because as I've said already when they get it right there's none better.
If you measure how good restaurants are by how bad their food is for you, then Holy Chuck must have 5 Michelin stars. They've taken the Toronto burger scene by storm since their opening a couple years ago with a menu that seems to promote obesity – double cheeseburgers between two grilled cheese sandwiches, a cheeseburger topped with potato chips and a fried egg, a double cheeseburger between two B.L.T.s – your pant size seems to grow and your arteries seem to harden just by reading their black humour-filled menu.
This is one of my top 2 favourite burger places in Toronto, but it only gets 3.5 stars, because I find them Very inconsistent. I've tried every single burger from Holy Chuck including the one with the foie gras. When they're good, they're the best, but when they're having an off day, they're no good. So hit or miss. But I still recommend.
The burgers are very good indeed, but considering what you're getting at other places its nothing to write home about because the prices are pretty damn steep. At the prices here, I expect a great tasting burger, not just a big one because you can get that at Five Guys for less price.
My buddy swears by this place, so when I came to the city we came here for me to try, and my god it was great and quite a busy place ! I forgot what I ordered but the meat it so soft and so favour full it combination with sauce and toppings makes it unreal!!!
The price is fair and it's worth it. I would 100% recommend coming
I'll be back
This place is a must try. I mean, they serve Nutella milkshakes, what more can I say. The burgers are similar to 5 guys but even better if that's possible. They have lots of great toppings and the burgers are cooked perfectly. Highly recommended!
One day late after work my colleague and I decided that working a 14 hour day deserved some sort of artery clogging and slightly disgustingly delicious food. Me, wanting to get the foie gras poutine again suggested we go to holy chuck. I was unsure what burger to get so it took me a while to pick something; I ended up going with the farmers threesome, it was a triple patty burger, one beef, one bacon and one lamb.
The best part about writing burger reviews is having the creativity to always outdo myself every time I write. Whether it's new words or new language, it's usually always fun coming up with new ways to spice up this blog. Without further ado, here is my Holy Chuck burger review. "Holy Chuck! We finally did it!" I yelled as Mark and I walked back up Yonge Street after satisfying our craving for Holy Chuck burgers. It was a craving we were feeling for a month after taking a hiatus in December for the Christmas break. It was a new year and after all, we needed to start out in a big way. Holy Chuck was it. It was a cold January day when we decided to go. We found the place pretty easy as it was right near the intersection of St. Clair Ave. and Yonge Street, and was directly across from Hero Burger; little did we know Hero Burger was going to be our next destination, but I think I'll leave that until my next review. We arrived just as the lunch rush was ending - pretty good on our part because there was nobody in line ahead of us. We took a quick glance at the menu and after a few seconds, I decided to go with The Raging Bull. It was a double cheeseburger with 2x's the amount of bacon I usually get, layered with hot peppers and smothered in a chipotle sauce. By the way, this was the most expensive burger I ate to date. It came to a total of $21 and for some reason, I just had to get it with the combo. The best thing about this joint is that you can mix and match your own soda. Holy Chuck offered a drink dispenser that only a few places have in Toronto. From the drinks that were offered, I mixed Root Beer with vanilla. But there are literally thousands of combinations you can come up with, just by a single touch of a button. The burgers didn't take long. Rather fast actually. Within minutes we picked up our order and went to grab a seat along the front window. I looked at the platter that was sitting in front of me and without hesitation, picked up the burger with two hands and took my first bite. Right off the bat, it was hot. And I don't mean Emma Watson hot, I'm talking spicy hot! My mouth was burning. Whether it were the hot peppers or the chipotle sauce, there was something on the burger I had to avoid next time I took a bite. The fries on the side were actually really tasty, but when you think about it, crispy thin cut fries go with just about anything. This was actually a time I needed fries on the side as I didn't know whether or not I would be able to finish the burger by itself. My drink was already 3/4 gone and I knew I was going have to go for a refill, which is to no additional cost. It took me longer than usual to finish The Raging Bull but I was determined since on the wall directly beside me were pictures of people who have taken the Holy Chuck challenge. (I for one will probably not be taking the challenge anytime soon). Overall, I learned the hard way and I got what I asked for: the aftertaste of a Raging Bull in my mouth. Maybe I found out that day that spicy wasn't my thing, but despite that, I would definitely go back to Holy Chuck. Not only do they offer a wide selection of burgers on the menu, they have all varieties of poutine, desserts and side orders to choose from. From the people that work there to the creations they come up with, I couldn't find one reason to dislike Holy Chuck. However, if I ever do go back, I might order something a little less "raging". 6.7/10Mark's Review

Someone from the office organized a group luncheon down by the Front St. Food vendors. They are at street level outside of Union Station between the Bay and York concourses. One of the vendors is Holy Chucks. I never had their burger before so I thought this would be a good time to check it out. I ordered their Smoky Cow burger ($9.99), a beef patty with bacon and smoked cheddar from three years ago with a sprinkle of sea salt. It was freshly cooked and they call out your name to pick it up. It was a medium sized burger with a good thickness to it. When I took a bite I was a little surprised at how salty it was. This is probably due to the sea salt. After the initial bites, the burger was really good with the fat bacon and the freshness of the meat. I would definitely go back to their regular restaurant to try their other burgers. As the live music was playing, nobody wanted to head back up to the office.
One of the best burgers I have ever tasted. It was really hard to get a seat in this place because I went at the lunchtime rush, so I wouldn't recommend going around that time.
I tried the Big Chuck, which is their version of a Big Mac and fries. It was almost like love at first bite since I couldn't pull myself away from the burger until I finished it. There are also some really good shakes as well in some unique flavours like nutella and sea salt.
Would recommend :D
I look for two main things at my burger joints. Good shakes and Good well cooked burgers. This place does both so well. Burger was cooke to order at a medium and was spot on. I had the holy chuck and it was awesome. Good bun, toppings and the beef was killer. The shake was also sooo good and very thick, I just had chocolate but they have a ton of other interesting flavours. The fries were also good but I couldn't finish them because I was so full. usually i can do a burger shake and fries but this is some filling food. looking forward to trying out some of there different burgers. Very diverse menu.
Had a delicious burger here for my birthday. The Holy Duck! Single pattie w/ foie gras, truffle oil, and more. It was expensive ($30) but really delicious! One time deal, but certainly worth treating yourself.
Go early and don't eat for the rest of the day or don't eat and go late and pig out hard.
Their Foie Gras poutine was my reason for going and it was FREAKING AMAZING i would have had two had i not ordered a burger which was equally delicious but far less extravagant. If the poutine wasn't so unhealthy i'd have one everyday,
Burgers just don't get better than this, at least not in Toronto. Fresh, juicy, tastey, and bold! Don't die before trying one of the 6-pattie burgers here...but u may die after!
Holy Delicious! We Picked up the Holy Chuck, Big Chuck, the cowlarie and some fries. And it was all amazing. Fresh ground beef was cooking to the perfect moistness, the cheese was good ol amercian and the bun was soft and just the way we all like it. The price is steep but honestly worth the try. The fries were natural and seasoned to perfection. Only two suggestions, easy on the salt and the cash woman needs a smile and costumer service skills. Four words sum this experience up...we will be back :)
Amazing burger. Patties are a great size. Meat is smooth consistent tasty moist and no hard/stringy bits. Not cheap at $11 a burger but it's a double.
If you're in the mood fora poutine, stick with the classic and build to add on stuff. Tried the raging bull poutine and it was a let down - the sauce was too much! I think I would do classic poutine but add chili peppers if I need it to me spicy. Nothing wrong with simplicity! Burgers are still the city's best!
The greasiest burgers I've ever had in my life - COMPLETELY WORTH IT. if you like your burgers literally dripping with flavour then this is your spot. Its messy in all the right places and one meal here will have you set for the whole day. Hits the spot when you just have to pig out.

Amazing burgers. Some of the best. If you are complaining about wait times or grease, go eat a salad somewhere and stfu. Burgers for the true heads. If you love cheeseburgers you MUST try Holy Chucks.
Great place to enjoy your burger. Nice and comfortable environment to enjoy a good burger. Among the large selection on the menu, I have picked the Big Bad wolf for my first Holy Chuck burger tasting. It looks like a normal burger but when you took the first bite.... then you will know it is a different. Everything is so soft... the bun, the patties. ...everything just like melting in your mouth....the warm fried mustard is adding some fun and taste to it. But if you are expecting a patty with a little burnt edge... the big bad wolf may not be a good choice. For the fries, we order Holy Chuck fries with bacon n chilli on it. The fries are ok. But I heard the milkshakes are great.. so will come back to try out other burgers and their milkshake in the near future.
It is an excellent place for families with and without kids and the food is awesome. I had smoke cow burger, fries, Nutella & salted caramel milkshake and for dessert Nutella puffs with chantilly cream. Every single one was delicious, fresh. You see things are done from scratch with high quality products. Definitely it is must to go there
Random stop in at Holy Chuck...
Their menu is quite extensive, but I tried the Holy Chuck burger. The burger was done medium, as we were asked how we'd like it! The meat was juicy and soft enough that it melted in your mouth with the compliments of the soft bun it rests on. The bacon was cooked to perfection, Caramelized onion was amazing and the cheese melted!
I have yet to try the milkshakes but will definitely be back to try another burger!
Great greasy food!!!
Amazing Burger and Shakes. The signature Holy Chuck Burger is pretty satisfying, and it was a hard choice to make as a first-timer with a wide-selection of burgers before me. Based on the signature burger, with it's the fresh, juicy patty and nice sweetness of the carmelized onions, I'd come back for more. There are quite a few burgers on the menu I'd love to try, but have to save it for my next trip to Toronto.
And despite how much I enjoyed the burger, the drink selection was amazing. In fact I often crave the Nutella and Salted Caramel Milkshake. It's a rich and creamy milkshake that will sit heavy with you for the rest of the night, but it's worth it!
I actually enjoyed my first burger at Holy Chuck that I honestly think I could be convinced to tackle their burger challenge. Can't guarantee I'll do it, but I'll probably enjoy it!
Great greasy spoon experience. Please note that the restaurant is not greasy spoon in the hygeine negative sense. Also, this is for the midtown location, not the GTA spots that some reviewers fail to notice to post correctly.
Ordered: The Holy Chuck burger with cheese and fries on the side. nothing elaborate; bottle of Coke Zero to drink
Positives: The sandwich was hot, fresh, and dripping with moisture-locking oils; the bun held out long enough to finish the burger and not a moment longer; garnishes worked well with the burger; burger was moist and ready to go.
Negatives: maybe too much oil/grease, but this is a matter of preference and expectation.
Would I return? Yes. I went with two coworkers and will be going back with my partner this time around.
First time going to it and I understand why the hype, the burgers were juicy and melt in your mouth. The best way to tell how good a burger is, is by how bad it is for you, and this was super bad (ie super good).
I got the big bad wolf with fries and Reese's pieces with banana shake. Loved every bite of it. Sure the place might not look like much but as long as the food is great and service is great, who cares! I wasn't staring at the walls just on my huge burger.
Pretty good burgers. I go.... Pretty good burgers.
I got the Big Chuck (I think?) and yeah, tastes exactly like a big Mac from McD's but with a way better patty. I kinda regret it because I'm not a fan of Big Macs but I guess I should've known what I was ordering :P
They have a good selection of vegetarian options as well.
Aside from that the burger was really good and really big. Kinda greasy but the patty nice, thick and juicy, just the way a real burger should be! My SO had a veggie burger (animal feed?) and he said it was really good.
We also got the fries with blue cheese, mushrolm, and supposed bacon (had it without bacon because the SO is vegetarian). It was good but reeeeaally salty. Probably would've been saltier without the bacon.
Definitely going to come back to try the other items !
Their business is definitely burgers. There's a huge menu of their specialty burgers and a bunch of others on the side wall near the cash desk. Good luck making a choice from all the unique & interesting burgers...
I opted for the Mad Cow Burger: PANKO CRUSTED PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM STUFFED WITH FETA & CREAM CHEESE, DEEP FRIED, TOPPED WITH LETTUCE, TOMATO & LEMON HERB AIOLI with a jr. cheeseburger. I have to say though the burger was really yummy and flavourful, the feta & cream cheese was a bit too heavy. I couldn't finish this one!
the Holy Chuck: DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER WITH BACON & CARAMELIZED ONIONS was the simply amazing! Without so many toppings to distract from the actual burger, you're able to really enjoy their high quality beef patties. One of the best burgers we've had!
We shared the Raging Bull Fries. It comes with DOUBLE BACON, DOUBLE CHEESE & FRESH SAUTÉED HOT BANANA PEPPERS, SMOTHERED IN RAGING BULL GRAVY. This was very spicy and our tongues were on fire! The fries were of good texture though.
Best burger I ever had! Thus far
I'm not a fan of eating burgers, but Holy Chuck! Their menu is wide n' "high" and satisfies the cravings you never thought you'd have (pun intended, by the way). They have a way in making you come back, really. In short, I have officially converted, and now love all-things burgers.
The location is in Toronto's mid-town area, which makes it quite accessible and convenient for anyone in town. Their design is, some can say, lacking -- but it's just a burger place, anyway.
Other than that, you just order what you want from their menu on their front cash, wait a couple of minutes, receive your food and you're good to go.
I'm purposely leaving out the details of their menu, it's something you've got to try for yourself to enjoy it. Cheers!
Very juicy. I had the chance to try their signature burger. Juices ran down my hand. I liked this burger, but I prefer big smoke and some of the more "gourmet" burgers out there.
OMG you have not eaten a cheeseburger till you have come to this place ! My husband and I absolutely love this place !
Amazing !!!!!!!! Wish they were open on Sundays too !!!
This is a premium burger and worth every penny. Maybe my second favourite burger of all time? I just had their classic holy chuck, and I think I'd mix it up next time - there's so much awesome-looking stuff on the menu! While I don't think it tops the priest, it does have seating which is a big plus. Happy 1st anniversary holy chuck, I will be back!
I can eat cheeseburgers again! I found out about a month ago that I am allergic to gluten and the worst part has been cheeseburgers, my absolutely favorite food. Well I had a gluten free bun at holy chuck and it was awesome! This place is definitely worth checking out if you like your burgers simple and delicious.
Delicious guys. My wife and daughter ate at your establishent on sat aug 18 and the burger was absolutely delicious and so was the poutines and shakes were fantastic!! compliments to all the staff and kim and sarah and me [ tom] will be back again ! if it wasn,t the fact that we are 500km away we be eating their tonite and at least a couple of days a week. thanks guys we really enjoyed our visit and we will be back!!! cheers!!
Loved it!. I talked owner and I knew he have had passion for burger business for many years! Bun was very soft and patty was juicy! Yummy! Location is little far from my area but if I have chance to get down there I will definitely go again too. Fried egg with cheese burger was so good :D
A fantastic sandwich! I had the "Sixxy Cow" and was quite satisfied. Next time in I plan on putting myself on the "Wall of Fame".
Great place. Good vibe, very friendly staff. Kinda pricey though. Food is great - fries are excellent! Be warned though: burgers are super greasy. If that what you're looking for... this is your place!
Amazinggg. The Buger was really good (better then Buger priest) and the nutella and salted caramel milkshake was to die for. Don't bother with the fries.

Hands Down Best Burger in Toronto!!!. I've been to Holy Chuck a number times since it opened a few months ago. The food is so good I find myself going back again and again craving one of their amazing burgers w/fries or one of their handful of great shakes and desserts! But the real star of the show at Holy Chuck is the burger. The burger is made with high quality beef and is ground in-house and never frozen (like a real burger should be!).The burgers are cooked on the flat top which makes them extremely tasty, tender, and juicy so that they just melt in your mouth when you take a bite! I've tried a few of the burgers at Holy Chuck, like the signature Holy Chuck burger (double patty, bacon + cheese, and fried onions), the Cowlorie (double patty, bacon + cheese, and fried onions between two grilled cheese sandwiches), and I liked the burgers so much that I even decided to try their veggie option the Animal Feed (panko crusted portebello mushroom stuffed w/ feta and cream cheese) which was a really good bite even for a notorious carnivore such as myself. But what makes Holy Chuck so great is that all the usual accompaniments to a burger, like the fries and shakes, are just as good as the burger. The fries are fresh-cut and are super crispy on the outside but still soft and moist on the inside. And last, but not least, the crazy shakes and desserts. My favourite shake is hands down Nutella and Salted Caramel . . . WOW is all I can say about that! And if you have any room left after stuffing your face with all that I'd definitely go for a deep fried twinkie or the funnel cake with ice cream and pineapple caramel sauce its ridiculously good! Definitely the best burger joint in the city!
Good but not 15 bucks good.. Went to Chuck's on Tuesday, Burger were very good with a rich beefy taste. Potato chips were also good but very skimpy for 3.29. Would be much better if they were to lower there prices a buck or two..
Amazing burgers, not so amazing prices
Too much $$$, Not Enough Food. Got their signature burger (The Holy Chuck) - was great, but not enough burger.
Burger was awesome, but way too much $$$!
Fries were meh.
I'm in heaven. Drove from Milton for this new burger place i heard about. Took my wife and baby daughter. 45 minutes drive was well worth it. Had the signature burger and LOOOVVVVEEDDD it. Melted in my mouth. The sweet potato chips were something outta a 4 star restaurant! Someone tell The Keg how to serve sides! The decor was trendy and clean, the staff helpful and friendly. Had one burger and wanted 2.. but ended up taking another one to my dad in Mississauga ... yes.... they stay warm too! 30 minutes after I left, my dad opened it up from its wrapper and said FRESH MEAT!!! He loved it the same and wanted more. My wife had the portabello mushroom burger with they handcut fries and said second's please!? After that, we polished off a deep friend twinky. HEAVEN! When they say "its worth the drive to Acton"..... well, "its worth they drive to Holy Chuck". So many off the wall named burgers to choose from. And different choices of meats for the "healthy minded" eater. Try the 6 minute challenge. 6 patties, 6 cheese, in between 3 grilled cheese sandwiches washed down with a shake. I heard 2 people have completed it and made it to the wall of fame. I'll be back for more for sure.
HANDS DOWN BEST BURGER EVER!!!! ok I'm not just saying this I love food and I have never had a burger like this in my life!!! Just try it ONCE!! I'm sure if you don't like it and tell the owner he will buy your burger!!!
I must say had a great lunch experience today at holy chuck. Great burger and good fries !!!! Milkshakes over the top .... Who makes wasabi fresh green onion and Ginger mixed together and makes you cease for more
BEST BURGER EVER BY FAR!!. I went to Holy Chuck Burgers for the first time on thursday, very busy and one of the customers told me at the door that the wait is sooooooo worth it, so ofcourse i waited and i ate the best burger EVER. I ordered the GO CHUCK YOURSELF BURGER which was between 3 grilled cheese sandwiches. MY GOD it melted in my mouth, the meat u can tell was fresh!!! Definitely will be back!! a hamburger you have to try!!!
Melts in your mouth!. I work in the area and my co-workers were ravig about a new burger place that opened. I Went by for lunch and saw a line up, which in my opinion means the food will be great. After trying the Holy Chuck Burger i have to say that it was "The Best Burger" I have ever tried. I will definetley be back soon!
Best Burger in Toronto!!. Recently tried a new burger joint at Yonge and St. Clair. At first I was skeptical because of all the burger joints that have opened up in the city. The place is "Holy Chuck". First impression was a clean, modern interior with some cool pics on the wall and an open concept kitchen. The service was good even though it was very busy. I heard it was their 2nd day open. Now to the important part, the food. I ordered their signature Holy Chuck burger and added a combo with pop and home-made sweet potato chips. The burger was melt in your mouth amazing. The beef was high quality, nothing like what you get at most places like South St. or Hero's!! It was juicy and cooked perfectly!! The sweet potato chips were a huge surprise!! They were amazing. Seasoned with fresh rosemary and salt. I must say that this burger was the best I've tried in Toronto and anywhere else!! You can check out my other reviews!! I've tried many burgers in this town and you'd be hard done by to find a burger that matches Holy Chuck. Many of my colleagues agree!! Good job Holy Chuck!!
Personally, I think the Holy Chuck Fries looked better than they actually tasted. Smothered in bacon, cheese, and chili, all the flavours seemed to clash and disagree with each other. It it possible that this is just an issue of personal taste, since I don’t really like carrots, and the fries were covered in carrot cubes. However, I can confidently say that these fries were a second-rate rendition of poutine at best, given that they were a bit too salty (even for fries) to be enjoyable.
This looks like your average and unassuming milkshake. It was amazing! It was so rich and creamy, and the tiny chili pieces gave it a nice occasional kick just to keep things interesting. They have a lot of delicious-sounding shakes – though I’m scared to try their wasabi + green onion + fresh ginger combination.
...I decided to try something different and go for the Animal Feed which I've heard loads of great reviews about. No surprise, it was DELICIOUS! Firstly, although it was by nooo means a healthy option, the burger wasn't dripping greasiness or fat, nor did it leave me feeling slightly nauseous- just a manageable, satisfying fullness. The "Animal Feed" itself consisted of a portabello mushroom and a mix of feta & cream cheese (a vegetarian option). The outside was perfectly crispy, while the inside was gooey goodness which ran out with every bite. Mmm. The grilled cheese buns were g
So if you’re in Toronto Holy Chuck is a must stop for a delicious burger! Don’t cheat yourself head on over there today…
Fork in photo is unrelated to burger eating. Last year, for Nash’s birthday, I started the tradition of taking him to a ridiculous burger joint. We do burgers all year, when they’re in the vicinity of where we happen to be but on birthdays we’ll actually travel for the next wacky thing. Anyway, this year we ended up at Holy Chuck at St. Clair Station. Their menu has a variety of interesting creations. Nash ordered The Village Cow ($12.99), which had two patties and seared, melted kefalotiri cheese, red onions and greek olive oil. We’ve never heard of that cheese before, but it was deliciously fried and creamy. He also had a side of fries which came in a generous portion. I went for the Le Croissant Du Paysan ($12.99), which was egg, pancetta, fries and burger on flakey croissants. The croissants were soft and sweet. Altogether the burger was like a very complete breakfast. Ok time for the star of the show! Since it was his birthday, I totally splurged on the Black Truffle Fries . Real
...re-ordered the grind n’ shine which is a double cheese burger featuring beacon and an egg. for eggs lover, this is a must.
Located at Yonge and St. Clair, Holy Chuck is the spot that’s accessible from midtown or downtown to grab a good burger. Seating is available inside for groups of up to 4, a bar of single seats are set up along the window front and there’s plentiful standing space left to wait for takeout orders....
We're going to have to come back to try all the other burgers and fries that we didn't get to try this time around. From what we had there, we can tell why there's such a buzz about this place. Their friendly service, clean clean & quirky environment and delicious burgers makes this place a gem in Toronto.

They should really clean up the whole seating area, but the burgers are truly exceptional so I overlook the decor and ambiance. I've never bothered with anything other than the Holy Chuck and an order of hand-cut fries (and a very occasional shake) because they are so damned good, so I am clueless about the rest of the menu.
[4.5 out of 5 stars] I have been a regular patron to Holy Chuck and I'm very satisfied with the burgers + sides (fries and onion rings). I really appreciate the ability to customize the burger toppings and how the patty is cooked. Although I found my patty to be over-cooked (medium-well to well-done) most of the time I come here when I actually ordered medium. This is not a deal breaker as the burger is still juicy, moist, and tender. The service staff is as always excellent; very courteous and polite. The waiting time for the order is surprisingly fast too.
I had the chicken one and also the signiture burger. Both were tasty. The chicken was so crispy, and signature beef was amazing which had salty and juicy beef with crispy bacon and sweet onions. The combination of flavour was superb!
I was really surprised to how well made the burger was. The buns were really soft and fresh, meat was cooked to my liking, and the condiments blended well with each other. Overall, its a great place for burger enthusiasts like me, and is worth try their burgers at least once.
Got the classic chuck and it was great! The softness of the burger was unexpected but very welcome. Customized my poutine to get it with yam fries, tried the original as well, and you can’t go wrong with either!
Everything about the meal was perfect! From the brioche bun, marple smoked bacon to the foie gras, hint of marple syrup and white truffle and the fries. The interior looks rather shabby but good food is about the taste. Very highly recommend!
