Good food, service and prices
Great spot if you would like to get in and get out fairly quickly. Food and service was good and prices were decent. The Reuben was very good!
Omgosh Omgosh yassss this place is amazing. The food is soo good and the freshly squeezed orange juice taste delicious and fresh. I recommend this place 100% to everyone.
dre: For a breakfast with some coworkers, we went to nearby Fran's Diner to eat. I got the special, which included 2 eggs, a choice of meat, and hash browns. It was good, and I was amazed at the waiter's ability to remember all our orders without writing anything down. There must of been at least 10 of us!
I really liked my Grilled Havarti Cheese & Apple Slices ‘Franwich’! The thinly cut Ontario apple slices were fresh and crispy and a good mix to the melted savory cheese. Mmm, I should really order grilled cheese sandwiches more often!
The tortilla chips and salsa were nothing spectacular; just your regular tortilla chips and store-bought salsa. I wish there were more salsa actually as I had more chips than salsa..
They serve a pretty good breakfast here. I've never has a bad meal at this diner. I usually order eggs with bacon, home fries and toast.
Good food and well priced
After a long day on your feet, was a great place to relax. The environment is very exciting since you are stepping back in time into the 1950's. Every time I go I always get the warm, freshly made apple pie with icecream, so simple but so delicious. Just so you are aware they don't have their own washrooms, the share with the room next door and the toilets and sinks are really low to the ground so it is easier for children to reach.
A former Late night place to have breakfast in Toronto after pulling an all nighter is now an suto upscale place for a weekday breakfast....
A good stop on a cold morning. After eating mostly food court food this week, stopping in at Fran’s for breakfast was a welcome change. It was about 10am so I was late for any morning rush and too early for any lunch rush, so it was not busy.
For breakfast I had the Corned Beef and Eggs. I was surprised when the food arrived, I often get corned beef hash and eggs back home and that was what I expected. This breakfast actually had slices of corned beef, some cooked onions, and quite a few potato cubes, not a hash at all. It was a pleasant surprise.
The corned beef was tasty, potatoes some of the best I have had lately, the onions lacked flavor. With the eggs and toast it was an excellent breakfast.
Service was very good, the food didn’t take long and the coffee was refilled. I left full and happy.

No complaints. A group of 21 of us attended this venue on a Thursday morning for breakfast.
Pro: They arranged the seating at the back of the restaurant to accommodate us at one long table. The music wasn't too loud and we had the whole area to ourselves.
Pro: The waiter was friendly and VERY efficient!!! He took ALL of our orders without writing anything down and got all of our orders right. We were VERY impressed with his memory skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
Pro: Everyone enjoyed their breakfast, and was especially pleased with the home fries - we like them crispy and seasoned.
Tolerable: The food took approximately 15 mins to arrive, but we were chatting among ourselves to pass the time. It was a little more pricey than we would have liked, but the portion size exceeded our expectations.
There didn't seem to be any cons except that there was a column behind the table minimizing some of the space, but everyone was pleased and didn't seem to have any complaints.
People in our group said they would come back, and so would I.

WOW! That's the first word that comes to mind after enjoying a delicious breakfast at Fran's. We are visiting the city for a few days and I was looking for a breakfast spot near our hotel. Fran's did not disappoint. Portion sizes are very large, the food tastes great and the staff were super polite. We went on a Monday morning and it wasn't too busy. Service was fast and we were eating within 5 to 10 minutes. We will definitely visit again, thank you!
Two-Egg traditional gives a huge, delicious portion of a classic breakfast. It’s also only $10.99 for such a large portion of food, which is so worth it! The eggs were freshly cooked, light and fluffy. The home fries were crispy, not soggy, but had the perfect softness to them. The sausage was delicious—flavourful but not too salty. I usually eat my eggs and home fries with the ketchup, and that was amazing as well. The waiter was also very kind to us, and I especially am grateful considering it was super late at night. PLEASE COME HERE!! It’s amazing. Best spot to get all day breakfast!
Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning with a few people, and the service was great. The food is very well priced for the portion size, and the food comes out pretty quick once ordered. The quality of the food is good. This is definitely a great place for dining at any time of the day since they’re open 24/7 and they have a lot of options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I ordered the Canadian Benedictine plate.
Because of my allergy to fish and seafood, the breakfast potatoes were not accessible to me because they are fried in the same oil. The cook have prepared homemade potatoes exclusively for me and it was very much appreciated.
The waitress was very nice and the service was very fast. I enjoyed my experience very much.
I'm giving 4 stars because a second fryer for people like me with allergies would appreciate the place even more.
p.s: The carrot cake is very good too.
We had Steak and Eggs plus Waffles with Chicken. We probably came at a peak time, line-up was quite a wait plus some lapses in service like food being served with no cutlery. The food was great and enjoyed the bottomless coffee. Thank you!
Super nice food to be honest, one of the best breakfast places in Toronto. Great price to portion ratio.
The only negative is that there is no Maple syrup and the place was lacking air conditioning. But still a solid 4 stars
