The food was solid as always at Kingspark. And the price was pretty decent for a meal at only $10 with a hot drink included. Compared to Enjoy 1+1 Cafe that's only a block away, I find the Baked Pork Chop and Tomato on Rice tastes slightly better at Enjoy 1+1, but I find the overall experience at Kingspark better for the clean and cozier environment.
Fairy cozy place with typical HK food. Food is okay, not bad. Parking is a bit difficult. Their drinks are in metal cups, cold drinks cost 50cents more. Take out box is a dollar more.
Standard Hong Kong cafe fare. My friend said this is the "it" spot for Hong Kong-style cafe food. We went for lunch on a holiday weekend and it reminded me a lot of another nearby restaurant E-Canteen. They serve stuff like baked deep fried pork chop on rice, fish ball noodle soup, etc. I made the mistake of ordering minced beef with egg on rice. For some reason I thought the egg would be at least semi-cooked, but it literally was a raw egg hidden under a mountain of beef. After the recommendation of mixing it all together from my brother, it gave it this slimy consistency that didn't exactly stimulate my appetite.
Luckily my brother ordered a spicy XO sauce seafood fried rice that was delicious. His girlfriend ordered the aforementioned pork chop rice that was covered in a ketchup-y sauce that was also quite good. The prices are reasonable many falling around the $10 tax in range, but they also have fancier dishes that involve steak or seafood that makes the cost go up considerably. I'll have to come back again to sample other dishes to see how I really feel about this restaurant, but it's a "like" for now.
