Our server Irene was amazing! Food was good and we had so much fun. It's definitely on the pricier side for hot pot but when you have a party in one of the booked rooms, it's definitely worth it. Food was fresh and we had fun
Moral’s Village is an a la carte hot pot restaurant in Richmond located in the same plaza as Coco Hut, Captains Boil, and Bubble World. I came here a while back on the invitation of Chopstick Fest as it was to promote the two week long Asian version of Dine Out Vancouver. One thing I noticed about Morals Village is that it is quite a fancy hot pot establishment. It’s definitely not the all you can eat type of hot pot where you don’t finish all the food and hide the rest. If you order meat or seafood here, you’ll finish every last one of them. We started off with two broths – preserved egg and pork bone soup.
I really liked both of these broths because they were flavourful, but they didn’t complete overwhelm the taste of the food cooked in it. The preserved egg had tons of cilantro in it which gave it a fresh, light, flavour. The pork bone broth was more rich and had a fatty meat flavour to it. This isn’t something I could normally ever afford to get so I was so happy that we got to try it.
Moral’s Village is a new a la carte hot pot restaurant in Richmond. They are a chain restaurant in China and has now expanded to Toronto and Richmond. The main difference in the Toronto location is that they have all you can eat, which isn’t the same as Richmond. I was invited to try out their signature dishes on their dinner menu by the crew at Chopstick Fest.
Moral's Village is a new a la carte hot pot restaurant in Richmond. The quality of the hot pot was superb, but it can cost quite a bit. They have pretty premium options when it comes to selecting broth, meats, seafood and other ingredients. Definitely not your everyday hot pot place.
Never have I ever… had hot pot this often. *takes a shot* But that’s not necessarily a bad thing, especially if hot pot is at Morals Village in Empire Centre. Back with the Chopsticks Fest crew, we hit up what I can only describe as the Rolls Royce of hot pot. Can’t do hot pot without dipping sauces! The staff prepped some for us ahead of time, but there was an open ingredient station for those who wanted to make their own.

NOTE: All food and beverages were complimentary, but all opinions are based on my own personal experience. Thanks to the team behind Chopstick Fest, I was invited to a tasting at Morals Village, as they will be a participating restaurant during the festival that will run from October 15 – 30, 2016. Morals Village is a chain restaurant popular in China, but has expanded to Canada with a location in Toronto, and now Richmond.
This is the same chain of hotpot from Toronto’s successful locations including Markham. I was invited by Chopsticks festival to try out their menu which will be featured as one of the many local Chinese restaurants this year participating in Vancouver’s First Chinese Cuisine Festival from October 15-30. Serving up delicacies in hotpot form, Morals Village hotpot is not your typical hotpot, where there is an all you can eat option. The menu is a la carte so you have to pick everything from the broth, dishes and even what type of sauce you want at the sauce bar.
The soup is really flavourful. Each topping was not super expensive and the serving was good. There's all you can eat ice cream, peanuts, and sauces.
Authentic, mainland China hotpot in central Richmond. Went as a large group and service was efficient and friendly. Restaurant interior was clean and new. The variety of Hotpot items was impressive, the make-your-own-sauce station was well kept and well stocked and the beverage options were also significant.
The highlight is the super spicy, authentic Szechuan soup base. The mushroom soup was also delicious and flavourful.
A little pricey, but delicious. The meat quality is good. I double dipped and went two days in a row. The special pork broth was so good.
Very delicious Chinese style hot pot. If you are wondering, this is the same chain that became really popular for Chongqing style hot pot in China and more recently in Toronto.
Been there three times, food quality is awesome. Service not bad, waited a little bit longer to get seat but worth it.
Always great quality here, good consistency with the delivery of food and service. Outstanding young staff. :) My favourite in Vancouver.
Service is mediocre, a bit of pricey side for the hot pot place, but the seafood and meats are taste very fresh, will recommend for people going with groups.
Little bit pricy, around $80 per person. But overall good hotpot.
Fresh clean. Large variety for soup and sauces. Friendly service
Good food. Decent service. Great selection.
