I picked their most expensive dish Beef Galbi (short rib) and it was just $9.90. The lunch set was delicious! It came with 7 generous slices of beef short rib, rice, miso soup, and 3 condiments. The condiments are the ones you find in any Korean BBQ restaurants like bean sprouts, honey glazed potato, kimchi, seaweed, etc. I picked kimchi, honey glazed potato, an Korean egg roll. While their Kimchi was super flavourful, their Korean egg roll was even more impressive – perfectly cooked, similar to Tamagoyaki in Japanese cuisine, but enhanced with the extra ingredients such as green onion and chive. The short rib was nicely prepared with meaty tenderness, and quite comparable with the ones I had in some full on Korean restaurants. Beef Short Rib / Galbi Combo @ Seoul Express Seoul Express @ Yaohan Centre I absolutely need to come back here to try their other dishes! Good price for stone bowl bi bim bap. I like going here for their stone bowl bi bim bap. At $7.90 (inclusive of tax), it's a pretty good deal. You get the traditional stone bowl and some sides. If it's not in a stone bowl, it's not real, in my opinion. I've been to a few spots that do bi bim bap in non-stone bowls, and that's a totally different experience. I don't like too many of the sides (and that's just personal eating preference) but I absolutely love their potatoes. It's something about the way he makes them. Their crunchy exterior is probably because he cooks/boils them first then quickly deep fries it (just speculating). When they're fresh, they are so good! So instead of a bit of each side, he just gives me a bunch of potatoes. I love it!

Seoul Express is a stall in the Yaohan food court that specializes in Korean "homestyle" food, so you're not going to get anything fancy here. They have your staple koreans dishes like bibimpap, japae, bulgogi, naeng myeon etc.   They're the only non chinese stall in the entire food court! They've been here for ages, I remember seeing them back in Gr.8...6 years ago lol!   When I was lining up,  everyone was ordering  their bibimpap! I was the only one who didn't order it LOL. SERVICE 3.5/5 stars    Yayy Seoul Express is run by real Koreans! Which I wasn't expecting, given that they are in a chi

I went with a Spicy Pork Ramen...and surprisngly the broth was quite nice. Good depth, very flavorful, and extremely fragrant. The noodles, however, were a bit over-cooked.

The last stop I have on the Chinese food court tour isn't Chinese, it's Korean. Haha, but it's in a prodominantly Chinese food court and they have good Korean food so it's on this list. In an earlier post, my pal Vince warned me about claims to authenticity and the word "Express" in the name of the shop, but there's no doubt that Seoul Express' proprietors are very, very Korean. Seoul Express has been a member of the Yaohan food court for years, and I occasionally go there when I need hangover food or somet

The restaurant was very clean and the ambience was a very "chill" one! The lighting was on the darker side, but it did add to the modern atmosphere of the restaurant! The servers were very friendly and kept checking up on us while we ate. The food was very delicious, although it was on the pricier side of things! My friends and I got the Royal Marinated Galbi, Herb Pork Belly, and the Seafood Pancake. The serving sizes are relatively big (especially the seafood pancake) and when you order food, it comes with many side dishes; you will definitely be full!

Had lots to eat, but was so hungry that I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the food before we feasted. I did however get a chance to snap a picture of the pork bone soup which was amazing!! Would come again but for a special occasion or with more friends - definitely on the more expensive side of KBBQ. BUT regardless, still amazingly delicious 😍

Everything here was delicious. The quality of the meat was great. The soft tofu soup was delicious. Sura is on the pricier side but everything is amazing including the service. They also have an amazing lunch deal. Their seafood pancake is a must try.

Food was delicious. The pork bone soup and rice cakes were really good. It was a bit disappointing because I heard good things about the lunch set. we came for the lunch set, but it was unavailable with no news on when it would return.

Not the same "Sura" as we know in Richmond, this one is "more Korean". The food is quite authentic, sauce is great, and doenjang jjigae tastes delicious, while the beef soup is a bit less tasty. Price is fair compare with the one in Richmond.
