-VEGGIE BUNCH
Food is phenomenal and it's a self-serve buffet style thing, so don't go expecting waiting services. It just ain't that kinda dig. The staff are really friendly and really care (you get the sense that they must be the owners) If you love Taiwanese food and vegan/vegetarian food this is the place to go.
Not only do their mock meats really satisfy any cravings for umami and savoury flavours and chewy/juicy textures, their veggie and carb dishes are bomb too: like the turnip rice cakes. deep-friend taro things. Lots of sweet and salty flavours. Great food. Love it!
Some of the best vegan fare on the planet! If you're looking for an inexpensive vegan buffet look no further because Veggie Bunch is the only one around. It's also one of the few vegan-Chinese restaurants around the Vancouver area.
Veggie Bunch lives up to its name offering a variety of tasty, unique veggie dishes, tofu, and taro alongside the occasional gluten based faux meat. I really like this restaurant because if offers vegetable dishes and NOT just fake meats.
Buddhist-Taiwanese with a usually quiet atmosphere. Bottomless tea, all you can eat, and there's even an ice-cream if you're in the mood for it.
Highly recommended, especially if you like veggies.
Generally closed on Tuesdays, we've made that mistake more than once...
Good: attentive owner, food made in small batches so it's fresh, cheap
Bad: freezer burn ice cream, parking can be difficult, cash only
One of my favourite vegetarian buffets. The parking lot can be a nightmare during peak hours as a bunch of the spots are labeled reserved. Luckily my boyfriend lives 5 mins walk away so we can get our exercise in before the gluttony sinks in.
For a buffet its decently priced at around 10-13 per person depending on lunch/dinner/weekday/weekend. I don't feel like I have to overstuff myself to get my moneys worth although I still do every time. There is a decent variety of food here for your meal including soup, veggies, vegetarian meat dishes, starch, deep fried goodness and desserts. Although when you have eaten here as many times as I have, you notice it's usually the same dishes.
What I like about this place is that the owner keeps checking on the food and puts a lot of care into quality of the food. When a certain item is low, he gets the cook to make another batch. Everything is well seasoned, has good wok heat and is fresh. Don't feel bad about taking the last piece as you know more is on the way. It also ensures certain dishes don't get soggy or gross from sitting there for hours.
They also have a freezer full of giant ice cream buckets for dessert. Maybe it's because most people don't know about it and eat it but there is quite a bit of freezer burn action. It has gotten better in the last year when they reduced the number of buckets to half as much. Maybe less flavour options equals a higher turnover rate and fresher ice cream? I usually stick to savoury foods or the red bean soup if I m craving dessert.
Overall, very fresh, well seasoned savoury eats for a Chinese vegetarian buffet that I will continue to frequent.

AYCE Vegetarian Food. Although there were not many choices to choose from, all the dishes looked ok and at least enough to feed your hungry tummy.
There were a few kinds of soups, stir-fried veges., tofu dishes, fried rice, rice noodles, deep-fried dim sums, assorted veges tempura, etc.
I especially like their Red Bean Dessert, very, very good...
Definitely will go back.
Delicious!. It was very good, nice variety of items. Even all us non vegetarians in the group thought it was tasty.
It's a modest place, but great find.
Rice is nice. The rice in this buffet is the best. If you are really hungry, this buffet is a good choice. There is a lot of variety. And they are constantly bringing out fresh food. There is poor lighting here, sad decor and the owners don't talk to you. Also bring cash, it's cash only
A nice vegetarian buffet. Every once in awhile I would like to have some vegetarian meal, and Veggie bunch is a place to have vegetarian food without paying premium in vegetarian restaurant. Locate in Richmond, the place doesn't look very high end, but the food they are serving are fresh. This is because they only prepare food in small batches, so you can enjoy freshly made food. Roughly they are serving 14 different type of food, which are generally vegetables + variations of bean products. Whether you are vegetarian or not, this is a place that should try out. :)
Delicious home style, Taiwanese vegetarian cooking. The buffet is a great deal, offering a huge variety of tasty
Veg dishes cooked in small
Batches so nothing sits for long. Yummy soups, stir fried veggies, fried glutinous yammy and soy-based dishes.
