Authentic delicious food that you can clearly feel its originality. It was a chance to try the cuisine of an underrepresented great persecuted culture.

An excellent choice for people who look for Halal variety of Chinese food. Authentic taste, good portions and nice traditional decor. Overall a good place to eat. Free parking at rear. Recommend for sure!
Been there recently , love the food . To be honest already visited the place three time in 3 weeks . My kids love the noodles with sweet and sour chicken .
We love the Xnjiang Chicken Stew so much that we went back for it again the following week. It reminds us of our stay in Beijing. The only draw back is they charge for the handmade noodle separately.

Muslim lamb fry-up. "Halal" is a word the one does not usually associate with Chinese food, but that's because the bulk of China's population (and therefore its cuisine) comes from the pork-heavy, non-Islamic east and south of the country. I've had Uighur food where I live in Australia, so I was keen to try Silkway when I saw the symbol of Muslim food purity in the name, to see how it stacked up against similar offerings Down Under. Plus I like spicy!
Silkway blew me away with the excellent cumin lamb on cilantro I had there. The green leafy taste was a perfect foil to the spicy lamb. Australia could learn to do a lamb fry-up like that! The chive pancakes were not so successful, with an acrid taste edge to them, like the flavour of alum. Still, the remnants of my lamb/cakes made a good picnic meal when I had half on an Air Canada flight going to Toronto later that night. Carry-on meals like that make me GLAD that airlines have cheaped out and stopped serving us in-flight dinners.

Hey guys! For anyone who is on a halal diet, it can be quite difficult to enjoy meaty foods from cuisines outside your usual nation, so that’s what makes a restaurant like Silkway Halal Cuisine interesting since they serve Chinese food. Is this the best way to enjoy Chinese food or should you keep looking for Asian halal foods? Read on to find out. Food: The Work Team came here for lunch and I had a Spicy Noodle Soup w/ Beef Brisket, Sweet & Sour Pineapple Chicken , and an Appetizer Croquette . The meat here tastes the same as regular non-halal Chinese meat. The spice in the noodle soup was incredibly spicy and gave me tears of happiness. Noodles were also very absorbent of the broth and the meat was pretty tasty. Quality would be a little higher than Duo Tian but not groundbreaking. The Sweet & Sour Pineapple Chicken was pretty sauced up. I couldn’t really tell the difference between this and what you’d find at a fast food restaurant but it’s as enjoyable as candy here. The Appetizer Croquette was a pleasant surprise. Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The filling inside was a nice bean paste and a good sweet start to the meal. All in all this place wasn’t bad and the food was better than I thought. Features: This is a very nice looking restaurant. It has a traditional interior and the china looks great as evidenced by this tea pot . There’s also a television playing local sports and the capacity here is about 60. Service: Service here was alright. Tea service was through a teapot that was refilled once, and the bill splitting was done at the front counter and they take all types of payments. Good taste nice atmosphere, but judging from the 4 layers of price stickers on the menu, the price of the food has increased 4 times from what is shown on Google photos.
Food was good but a bit oily. Service could be better. The wonton soup was really good. Lamb is their specialty and the lamb rack was delicious and spicy
honestly, the dishes were really good! the halal option is really amazing and the food quality was nice. the only thing that could be improved is hygiene and service. the service was fast but the waiters weren’t really attentive. overall food is nice but the atmosphere could be improved
Amazing food!! Very diverse options. Everything is Halal there. Parking can be a bit tricky. But staffs are very friendly and accommodating.

Mainly Ningxia style Chinese food. Very tasty and several unique flavors as compared to run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurants. The ambiance is nice and the establishment is well run and tidy (in contrast to what other reviews have said). The service is slow, but the servers are very friendly and bring anything requested. One area for improvement would be to provide serving utensils for the plates of food (only table forks were set out). Overall, we will definitely visit again.
