My husband has been going to this restaurant for a number of years and raved about it he finally took me there today. Food was amazing staff were funny and interactive meal was out in no time . Loved the 50's style atmosphere. Definitely going back again after listening to the table beside us I'll be having one of the soups next time for sure
I met and talked to the previous owner which was a family from Iraq. Now, the owner in a hard working from Korea. She kept the same staff as the previous owner. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are very busy time for the restaurant. If youI do not like to wait this is not the restaurant for you. The food is very good and good quality.
I have eaten there many times. I love hamburgers and the hot spicy chickens wraps. The breakfast meals are very good. I do not like that they open around 8 am. There are a few place in the Steveston area that you can eat breakfast around 7 am or earlier. It is a good place to eat.
This is the 2nd time I've had breakfast here and it's been great both times. 3 groups arrived just as they opened and a good-natured smiling waitress quickly set up the patio as we all wanted to enjoy the sun. I love the great mix of omelets and breakfast wraps available. I had the Tex Mex omelet with jalapenos and salsa, my friend chose the chorizo one and my husband a traditional egg/bacon plate. I personally loved the small, cubed crusty potatoes - each a satisfying crunchy bite. My husband would have preferred the more traditional hash browns - each to their own. I could have eaten a whole plate of them with a side of ketchup. Our food looked so tasty on arrival we dived right in and cleaned out plates before remembering we didn't take a photo. Thankfully Google had one of my Tex Mex omelet - just with a different bread choice. I have to get back one day and see what their lunch and dinner menus are like.
I loved the good here it was a great experience the staff were really friendly I especially loved there meat lasagna it was very tasty. It was very clean. My food was served hot and scrumptious. I highly recommend it.
Will be back for sure!. Delicious food, moderately priced, friendly service :) came in for breakfast and it was quiet but peaceful. ordered the west coast omelette which was delicious, (i love salmon) and when i asked for extra hollandaise i got a big plateful. can't wait to come back for lunch/dinner!
Good soup & sandwich. Frequent this place a fair amount, though mostly for lunch. I love that they make their own soups and have a great vegetarian (and okay vegan) menu. It is great to have a good soup place, as these seem to be disappearing.
We went there with a group of 4 on Sunday for brunch and had a great meal. Food was awesome and the service was exceptional. Great place highly recommend.

The dining room was warm, cozy, and tastefully decorated with marble, wood, and old time charm. I feel like I was at a boutique B&B for a countryside getaway. Although the food was not super refined – omelette slightly overcooked, breakfast sausage a little greasy, and poached eggs not completely strained, the whole meal was hearty and comforting, and I found the potatoes pretty tasty. I would definitely bring other guests back here, as it would add a bit more to the authentic charming experience in visiting the historic Steveston Village.
The service was excellent, they were fast and they were friendly. The food was really good, and i loved the coffee. I find the place's personality with all the decoration lovely and cheerful. They were deligent as well with their COVID precations.
On a sunny day, this is an excellent place to just have breakfast/brunch. Definitely recommending it and going again :)
Friendly service but slow, and that's not the fault of the staff, that's on the management/owners for being understaffed. They need to hire more people, but it seems like they are attempting to resolve that issue.
Food is excellent here, good quality stuff. Good portions, decent value. Not sure I'd like to wait for it, but that's just me, I hate long wait times.
Pancakes were amazing. Super thick and fluffy, but somehow had a caramalized layer on the outside.
The Cimona burger was worth the mess.....and it's really messy.
Would come back again, as long as I didn't see a line up out the door.
An absolutely fantastic restaurant in Stevenston. The only thing preventing five stars was that it was a little too warm when it was full. Food was delicious and had a good serving size. Pasta sauce was delicious, fries well cooked and the meat all excellently prepared. Seating is limited so there might be a bit of a wait. Service was good and bathrooms were clean. The room is filled with amazing decor and cool posters. There is a bike rack nearby, parking is paid for street, or a nearby lot. There is limited transit from buses. There is a ramp for wheelchairs but no automatic door.

We were walking around Steveston this morning and decided to give Cimona a try since they always seem to be busy. It looks huge from the outside but it's fairly small, but cozy. Staff is friendly and though they were busy when we were there, the service was pretty good. The food was also pretty good. The Kickin Hot Onions is a must try item if you like fried onions. The Chorizo Omelette tasted great, with just the right amount of heat and eggs were fluffy. The only complaint I have was my chicken quesadilla. Never had a quesadilla with chunks of yams, sweet potato and carrots in it. Maybe just me, but it doesn't really go together well as a quesadilla, also, there wasn't much cheese in mine. Could also use a little more salt and spices. Mine tasted kind of plain.
I'll go back again the next time we are down in the area. Great prices, great service, and pretty good food. There were other thing on the menu that looked really good as they were being brought to other tables. Wouldn't mine trying some them.
This is hands down the best breaky spot in Richmond in my opinion. I've lived here my whole life and we always come to cimona cafe. Service is AMAZING and food is sooooooo goood!!!!! Never had a bad experience here. Highly recommend! Today I had the Mexican Hash and my boyfriend had the Montreal smoked meat benny. Both were delicious as always!
This place reminds me of TGI Friday's, but only smaller and cozier. The service is quick and friendly. Servings are bigger than I expected. Definitely worth a try if you're not into fish and chips.
I can't really judge how good this place is aside from breakfast. Definitely a unique place for brunch on the weekends. The service is fast and food quality on par with other restaurants. This weekend I tried the crab cake benny which as loaded with crab and the right about of hollandaise sauce. Standard egg bacon and toast is also good here. The cool thing about this restaurant is the old antique decor and signage hanging off the wall. It gives a very nostalgic retro kind of feel.
