Tasty soups and imperial rolls! They were very good. The soups were light but savoury. The imperial rolls were crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside.
The mains were good too but not as authentic in taste.
Restaurant is small but clean.
Overall, it's fairly good for someone looking for Asian food in Québec City!
Very nice service and the food is delicious amazing . 👏 It is not a fancy place but they did accommodate us and every dishes were tasty. The service was also really nice, thank you, and we most definitely return to this place when we visit Quebec city again.🙂❤
We came here on our first night in Quebec City. It’s located in the art district and is a quaint little restaurant that has been open for over 30 years.
Mrs. Fam is the owner and we had the pleasure of chatting with her quite a bit when we dined in her establishment. She told us about her schooling in Europe and how she ended up owning 5 restaurants - she has since sold 3. If you’re expecting to go there and be left alone, this may not be the place for you. When we went it was quiet and we loved every minute listening to Mrs. Fam’s stories. She is so friendly and she has led quite an interesting life.
Back to the food - It doesn’t contain any MSG and is cooked in very minimal oil. The pad Thai has skinnier noodles than the usual which is a nice change. The teriyaki chicken was just perfect! If you have room for dessert try their famous fried pineapple with a homemade sauce. It sounds a little bizarre but it was to die for. It was not greasy or oily, the batter was flavourful and the sauce was like a butterscotch.
An awesome experience !! A nice service by the owner. She is funny! The food was absolutely delicious and the sake aswell.
Food is really good. We ate hear on our first night visiting from Ottawa and I’m very glad we did. The restaurant is cozy and a offers a beautiful window view of the old streets outside.
The food is cooked without excess oils and No MSG so you can indulge and still feel wonderful the next day.
The owner Fam is from Vietnam and lived many years in France before coming to Canada. She’s a wonderful hostess. She’s owned the restaurant for 31 years. There’s pictures on the wall of her with former Prime Ministers, Premiers, and Mayors who have all visited her restaurant.
We had the Pad Thai and Teriyaki Chicken. They make their pad Thai with thinner noodles which I loved. The soup was also delicious.
Desert options were Vanilla Cake, Carrot Cake, and their speciality a fried pineapple round that looks like a donut drizzled in homemade maple sauce.
The workers of this restaurant are super nice and very chill!! The food is excellent, they also give us some idea of other places to go visit, they're are such a nice hard working employees!!
