Le Comptoir is the place for you to go first on your visit to Quebec. The haddock was perfectly seasoned and filled with premium white flaky fish. We just ate and my mouth is watering for more. The poutine was good on principal, the fries could have been better. Your mind will go to your happy place as you munch on the crunchy delicious coleslaw. The server Louis Philippe was witty, eccentric and super friendly and helped translate the menu to us. 5 stars for service and we might go back and get more fish before we go.
This is a tasty place for Mediterranean Cuisine. The service is excellent the selection is funded and it is definitely warm on a very cold night.
For a modest fee you can turn any dish into a tabletl d'hot and include tea and dessert.
Bistro with a decent menu in case you’re having a crave. They have good sandwiches and vegetarian options.
They do serve alcohol.
Prices are ok with an ok service.
Good fish and chips. Clean place friendly atmosphere.
Enjoyed a quick and tasty lunch here. Staff were friendly. Quite a lot of seating upstairs as well.
This place is fantastic. Smart easy atmosphere, simple well appointed menu, and the tastes are just what you'd expect from the sign out front - smoked meats and fish - n- chips served over newspaper (not real newspaper that leaves ink on your food, don't worry). I had the fish and Caesar salad. The fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, juicy and falling apart on the inside. The house made tartar sauce was divine. The salad was tart and creamy. I'd have preferred anchovies to be included, but realize that's a fading tradition. It was inexpensive. It was precisely what I was hoping for - a simple tasty authentic meal in an engaging atmosphere, a welcome night off from the tourist hoopla in the area. I have two young boys, if they were with us on this trip, we'd take them for sure.
