This modern restaurant is a great spot for grabbing tapas style dishes and fancy cocktails. I enjoyed the tuna tartare, which was excellent! The apple pie dessert definitely left an impression as well. The pork belly brussel sprout salad was savory and hit the spot. I definitely recommend stopping by and grabbing one of their small plates.
Ask for Stephanie and Emmanuelle in the evenings. The tuna plate is simply outstanding.
If you like your whisky, you need to talk to Alexandre Sabatier. He will get you even more excited about it!
An absolutely wonderful experience. More folks need to visit this place.
My GF and I enjoyed a dinner here while staying at the hotel. Our server, the man with dark hair, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of.
Menu was small, which is perfect for a place like this. Great selection of wines and other drinks.
We had the charcuterie board to start. Unique selection of local meats. Tasty and flavourful.
For the main i had the butchers cut, which was a striploin steak. This is something I regularly make at home so I'm pretty critical when I order them. The steak was amazing, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. It could have used a bit more salt for the seasoning, though still a 4.95 out of 5!
My GF had the lobster roll. It was huge and also full of flavour. Lobster tasted fresh and she enjoyed her dish as well.
For dessert we had the grilled smore. I think they used a cookie, as opposed to an actual Graham cracker, but it was delicious nonetheless.
Along with the food its also the ambience of this restaurant that make it so unique. It has a great style and perfectly caters to people looking for something modern. Really love the location and being surrounded by Quebec history while eating.
Overall , an amazing dining experience. I'd definitely recommend Artefact if youre looking for a great place to eat in the lower part of the old town.
