Creative and wonderful menu, far better than expected for "casual" dining! The Bison tartar is 5 star for sure, unique and incredible, you must try this. 👌🏼
The maple glaze salmon and ravioli is a perfect pairing.
The waiter service is worthy of any fine restaurant.
The view and decor are spectacular.
If there was anything that could be improved it would be the hostess staff, I let you know that so you can be prepared to simply overlook that and proceed to enjoy your dining experience.
My husband and I had a delicious lunch today. We sat watching the river, therefore, the view was to die for. The server was really very nice and took very good care of us. Perfect experience!
This location was the best dine in experience i have ever experienced. The quality of food I had along with the service were impressive. The views, the appetizers, the main dish and dessert were amazing.
The atmosphere and views this location had was breathtaking. I would definitely come back again. The food were delicious because of the way it was cooked. The meat were tender and juicy. Honestly, all the dishes on their menu are worth trying so I can't say what to order but I can tell you the steak was great option. Their none alcoholic drinks were also tasty.
The experience overall are recommended but be sure to make a reservation before your visit.
Incredibly delicious food all around for the especially the duck drumsticks. Also excellent was the seafood casserole, fish and chips, lobster cakes. The only disappointment was actually the French onion soup which was bland. Great cocktails from Bar 1608 to complement the food and menu as well. We were surprised as we were thinking it would just be overpriced hotel food. The ambiance was beautiful. Ask for the seats with a view of possible bit the seats inside are beautiful as well due to the nice interior design.
Superb ambiance! View from the water is so serene and beautiful. Server is very helpful. Food no doubt is very good and portion size is decent for the price you're paying for. I ordered lobster ravioli if you love seafood with cream this is for you. It's a heavy meal so don't order more, as for the lamb it's not enough for my husband but he said the meat is very tender, cod fish with fries and salad my in laws said tasted like haddock not cod. But overall our dinner was good paired with white wine. Four pax we paid 300+ dollars

I loved this restaurant when I visited in November. The cocktails were delicious (and beautifully presented) and the food was fabulous. What impressed me most was the outstanding service we had from absolutely everyone. It was a great experience and I can’t wait to come back.
I went here with my friend for dinner to celebrate a special occasion. It is a perfect place to go to when you are feeling fancy or celebrating something. We decided to go on a night with winter storm but the food and the experience made going out in the storm worth it. Parking here is a little expensive so took a cab and it was still cheaper. Food here was amazing. We tried French onion soup, seafood casserole and creme brulee. I loved all our courses and creme brulee was one of the best ones I have tried so far. Our server was really hospitable and helped us in picking our course. Ambience also made the whole experience perfect. I would definitely go back here whenever I am in Quebec city.
Very nice bistro with elevated food offerings. Food presentation was delightful. Service was efficient and warm! Would recommend requesting a table by the window- beautiful views! Make reservations in advance as they fill up fast with tourists and hotel guests.

We ate at Le Sam Bistro Evolutif while staying at the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac in March, 2022.
It's a wonderful place to eat. There's a diverse menu, good prices, the food was flavourful and presented well.
I loved how the servers made recommendations, took the time to present and explain the food to us. They definitely appeared to enjoy their jobs and were very professional.
I also enjoyed the great views of the water from this restaurant.
This place is definitely worth the effort to have a meal here, you should make a reservation as it gets busy.
Situated in the Chateau Frontenac overlooking the St. Lawrence River, Le Sam Bistro was an elegant and delightful dining experience. Our server was consummately professional, and the food was delectable. We ordered a beet salad (portion was sufficient for two people) the lamb and the mushroom ravioli. The dishes were one of the best we’ve ever had, very well balanced flavours and cooked to perfection. Overall, pricey but well worth it.
