Loved this place! My husband and I love Greek food and were disappointed by the trendy Italian place that had been recommended by our hotel the night before. I did some research about restaurants that were not in the touristy part of town and came upon this gem. So glad I did! When I called to make a reservation, they said they were fully booked, but we got ready for dinner and decided to press our luck. We arrived a little after 7, and fortunately they were able to find us a table. The waitress spoke English and explained how the menu worked, and we ordered some tasty house sparkling Greek wine (surprisingly delicious!), a few appetizers such as feta red pepper spread and the Greek sausage, and then we split a big Greek salad and a half pound of grilled octopus with a side of grilled veggies. Each table also comes with pita, bread, olive oil, and balsamic with honey. We stuffed ourselves silly and each had two glasses of wine. All told, we spent $140 Canadian dollars which is about $108 American dollars. We had spent more the night before for mediocre food, only one drink each, and left the restaurant hungry. This place is exactly what you would expect from a Greek taverna—white and blue tiles, homey feel, lively with Greek music and friendly service, and delicious savory food. So glad we discovered this place in Quebec City!
We had read many good reviews on line about Le Mezze and since we like Greek food, we decided to dine there. We were so happy about our choice since the food was great (Greek salad and the two of us shared a large bass with side of grilled vegetables and potatoes), staff very friendly and accommodating, and the place appearance nicely authentic. We definitely will recommend this place especially if you are disappointed from the food served in the old city.
We had a wonderful server!
The reduced menu was delicious with plenty of variety.
You have to take the everything and roll out of there when you're done!
