Fantastic sushi, staff, service and price....A must for all sushi lovers...Great location in Parksville, either eat in or take out....Everyone is so friendly there.....
Order for the table:
Chicken udon (pictured): generally good flavor but nothing to write home about. I actually didn't eat most of it as I didn't feel it was worth finishing.
Bacon roll (pictured): a fun unique roll. Definitely worth trying but he felt that the flavors didn't blend well.
Gyoza: these are deep fried, not pan fried. Flavor was decent.
Spicy tuna roll (pictured): really good flavor. Would definitely get this again.
Nigiri combo: fish was really fresh and great flavor. Easily the best dish tonight.
The restaurant is an order & pay at the counter then they will deliver your food kind of place. It was busy and they weren't keeping up with cleaning the tables after people left. The service was good. No complaints there!
My husband and I went here for dinner during our staycation and oh my gosh! We are avid sushi eaters and this place topped all places we've too in Victoria.

I eat here at least a 3-4 times a week and I love it every time
I'm always greeted with friendly staff and quick service and easy on the wallet which is always a plus.
The quality of the ingredients is amazing - always fresh - and one big thing I love is that they only use wild sockeye salmon, none of that nasty farmed stuff.
After coming here so often for the past couple years, I have gotten well acquainted with the chef/owner and learned that he trained in multiple countries including Japan for many years before, and ran a large restaurant in Victoria (until he wanted to relax with a slower pace and run a smaller business) so you can be assured he really knows what he is doing.
My favourite roll has to be the Samurai Roll or the Ninja roll, and their teriyaki is quite delicious as well.
I highly recommend to anyone !

Last weekend we visited Parksville for my mothers 60th birthday. One of the nights we decided to order sushi for dinner. After looking at reviews and menus online, we decided on Samurai Sushi. We had 10 people with us and coordinating what everyone wanted was a feat in it's self! One member of the party has a severe dairy allergy and by the time we all decided on what we wanted, it was an hour before Samurai Sushi was going to close. My expectations were low when I called, as making a pick up order for 10 people is asking a lot in just an hours time. Surprisingly, after double checking with the kitchen, they said they could not only accommodate an order for 10 people, AND an allergy, they could do it in 40 minutes!! We arrived on time for pick up and they had everything packed up to go, with chop sticks, soy sauce and anything else we would need. I was THOROUGHLY impressed with their service and flexibility on such short notice, not to mention the food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I would recommend eating here to anyone; wether you're just passing through Parksville, or if you live in the area! Such an unexpected and pleasant experience to top off a wonderful birthday weekend for my mom! Thank you :)
Great location for sushi in Parksville. Relaxed interior and easy parking, staff is friendly. Order at the counter and wait in anticipation. Beautiful presentation, but if you're a wasabi lover order extra. Delicious meal. Recommended!
UP - Awesome sushi, great staff, and VERY fast!
DOWN - Parking can be a little tight but has to ways to exit.
OUT - The sushi here was great and so were the prices. I couldn't even load my urbanspoon page before my order was up.
Wonderful!!. I got Take Out for lunch.....the Unagi Nigiri was great....the spicy tuna roll was huge and so very tasty....and the spicy scallop chop chop was also huge and sooooo good!! Great first experience her.....portion size is really awesome!!
Wow!. We tried a party tray from Samurai Sushi last night, it was really good. Lovely presentation, Nice fresh sushi. The spicy scallop roll was especially tasty. The rolls and nigiri are larger than the other sushi places in Parksville so a very good deal. We now have 3 great sushi places in our little town.
Excellent roll and tempura shrimp. Very pleased with this new found little gem. Friendly people and great service.
This 5 star review is specifically for Kim, our server, who never stopped for a moment because it was so busy, and was also extremely friendly and courteous. She appeared to be serving alone despite there being enough work for multiple servers and she still did a fantastic job. I hope her management is aware of what a good employee they have, that kind of work ethic is hard to come by these days. Food, prices, and ambiance were all good too.

Food was great and staff was friendly, I ordered takeout in person and was told to leave a number and they would call when it was ready, it was busy and could be an hour. I didn’t get a call and when I went back to check my order was sitting out ready for pickup.. and they couldn’t tell me how long it had been sitting there, so that was a bit disappointing.
