First time there. From coffee, entrée and dessert, it was absolutely delicious. The service was very friendly. What a great little italian place.
Like Home. Walked in with without reservations with 6 people. They accommodated us perfectly and quickly. Food taste like my grandma's kitchen! Unique and worth a visit.
Small and very casual space. Loved the gluten-free noodle option. Everyone in our group had pasta and enjoyed it very much.
I had a 'make your own' 6 slice pizza and had prosciutto, fresh basil, red onion, and mushrooms on it. One word - delicious. Not sure if they have a wood burning oven but the quality of the pizza was amazing compared to anything in the area and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this place and definitely try the pizza! In the upper eschelon of Italian pizza in Ottawa and is similar in style to Vittoria Trattoria's.
Great Neighbourhood Italian Resto. Having seen favourable reviews on Urbanspoon, my wife and I went for dinner here on July 7th.
Very pleasant resto, with red and white checkered table cloths and an area in back, where my mind envisioned an older Italian gentleman eating spaghetti, with his large hired help at each shoulder and one step behind...
The ladies at the table beside us were very friendly and anxious to know what we ordered.
Letting us know what they were having, what they recommend and claiming they go there quite a bit and how everything is fresh and just amazing.
The owner was very busy, ensuring everything is perfect and the little girl serving us was very sweet and helpful.
The beer was cold :)
My caesar salad was perfect and my wife loved her small Arturo Salad.
For the main, my wife really enjoyed her Nona Teresa and my single serving Meat Lover pizza didn't last long enough. -Actually the portions were perfect and didn't leave us feeling full and needing to loosen our belts.
Very reasonable price at $55 with tax.
We'll be back, and my wife will be back sooner than I with her co-workers very soon.
This is my favorite place in Ottawa. The food is as wonderful as the staff. Thank you so very much for the brilliant evening!
Great place. I've been to Arturo's a few times for dinner and it never disappoints. The new owners (one of whom is a professional chef) are lovely and have done wonders for the menu. Everything is fresh, tasty and homemade. The antipasto platter is great, as is the risotto and the different pizzas and pastas. Save room for desert because the tiramisu will blow your mind.
Ambiance for an appetite!. Just got back from Arturo's... Wow. Loved it! We last went on New Year's Eve under the previous ownership and it was pretty underwhelming. The new owners, who are super friendly roll-up-the-sleeves types roaming the floor, have made a world of difference. We had the antipasto to start out. Really well done. My wife had the risotto, which was perfect. So many risottos come out as mushy, starchy lumps. Blech. Not this one. It came out just like it should: nice and chewy with articulated grains in a sauce that wasn't overpowered with truffle oil (blech). I had the special which was shrimp and asparagus in a cream sauce on a bed of very delicate noodles (I don't know what they were, but they were like egg noodles with more oomph). Outstanding! The sauce was just right - creamy, but not cumbersome, with just a hint of anise in the sauce. Finally we had the tiramisu. Uniquely presented in a mason jar with four lady fingers standing at attention... wow, wow, wow. Really perfect. So many tiramisus come out like custard, but they do it with just the right touch. Right between a custard and whipped cream. Delicate, but still substantial. We'll definitely be back!
Fantastic food , fast service . Loved my Chicken pesto sandwich with Caesar salad . Totally yummy!!
Yum. Great gluten-free options. Got to taste test a little cheesecake last night, I hope it makes a regular appearance on the menu soon!
