Love this place!. Consistently fresh and tasty food! I'm a regular and have never been disappointed. The owners are very friendly and super nice. You must try their homemade bibimbap sauce (kochujang) as it is delish!
Small rolls. We got the spicy salmon rolls. We asked for tempura to be added. The fish was fresh and tasted good. I was disappointed in the size of the roll because of the price.
We used to go to Kyoto and get spicy salmon (had tempura and avocado) for $12 and some change for 12 pieces.
We got 16 piece for $20 at Rice and Roll. A little expensive.
Definitely will continue going here.... Small, quaint and easy to miss, but it serves fresh and tasty sushi. The decor is warm and inviting as well, much like the people that work there. It's not the best in Ottawa nor is it fancy, but if you're in the area and you want something quick and well done, then this is the place for you.
From what I can see, most of the clientele are government workers that are in the immediate area, but I think it wouldn't hurt to at least open up a Facebook page for a greater online presence and some advertising to drive some more traffic there. More people need to know about it!
Made me happy.. I was having a terrible day and I passed by Rice & Roll. I got chicken udon (I uploaded the photo). It was so good, the flavours were just right and there was more than enough for a full meal. The next time I'm having a bad day I will stop by again.
