Stamina shake is great especially after a workout. Menu is pretty solid. There aren't many health food places in the city, but this is definitely one of the better ones. You guys should open more locations. There aren't enough healthy options.
Loving the vegan power bowl! I work nearby and I come here for lunch a few times a week. It's really tough to find decent vegan options in this area but this place is perfect. The restaurant itself is really clean and I like the decor. The staff is friendly every time I go in. Wish I had found this place sooner :)
Good vegan spots are tough to come by. The Fuel Bar is definitely my go to in Ottawa. I recommend the hearty black bean bowl and the protein power smoothie after a workout.
Stopped in for what's listed as a Stamina Shake. Staff were friendly while making it, atmosphere seemed cool and it was ready in 2mins. Protein balls they have at the cash are really tasty too.
The food is great, mostly because it's actually real food. Love the Black bean burrito for breakfast, which is loaded with everything u need to get that kick to wake u up first thing in the morning (beans , egg, guacamole, spinach etc....), every now and then I switch it up for the quesa-daiya - You just gotta try that one!! Absolutely fresh take on the ordinary quesadilla. Lunch takes it up a notch with the delicious wraps and smoothies. The thing is, as much as I love the food, the staff makes it even more enjoyable. THey are friendly and very helpful and they are substituting ingredients for me all the time, they are very kool like that! Love this place!
The vegan power bowl was so filling and tasty...and actually vegan! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to eat well on the run. Staff is friendly as well!
When visiting other cities it's sometimes hard to find food that's good for a gluten sensitive vegan, who's spoiled at home (Toronto) with so many great restaurant options. I just visited Ottawa and tried Fuel Bar on Metcalfe for the first time. I had the black bean bowl and some vegan bites for desert. The minimalistic / eco friendly containers are deceiving... at first I was worried it wouldn't be enough food but once you dig in it was more than enough to satisfy my appetite after a long train trip in :). A very healthy and delicious meal! I now have a new downtown Ottawa go-to-spot whenever I'm in town. Awesome!
A quick and convenient spot for lunch or breakfast. The salads and housemade dressings are fantastic. But the vegan Fuel Bites are my favourite, the chocolate chip cookie dough is amazing!
There is something beautiful when you intentionally eat food with purpose i.e. Healthy eating. I ordered a hearty black bean wrap minus the hummos because I was skeptical about the blend . It was indeed healthy with quinoa, beans,some greens and whole wheat grain, unfortunately it was missing some flavor even though there was guacamole in it. I was also worried that this was not going to be enough however I was quiet satisfied and that was the only thing I ate all day plus a protein bar 👌🏻. Just make sure u don't make any food decisions right after u eat, wait half an hour plus and you will feel fulfilled. And yes I want to come here more often and explore the food options
Happy to have them move in..we need more veg options downtown for lunch. Smoothies and bowls are good and not too expensive. My brownies taste better, so I won't get those again. Wish they were open later in the day for a good dinner to go!
