Good food, good service, overall amazing restaurant. I would recommend it to anyone who likes all you can eat sushi. Great shrimp tempura. I recommend the chicken teriyaki.
Surprisingly great lunch
A friend and I went to the Sushi Kan on Innes road. The meal was really good. The shrimp shu mai was particularly fresh and tasty. The vegetable tempura dishes were crisp and excellent. All the sushis were great especially the salmon Only the Korean beef and the supposedly spicy dishes were a bit bland. Perhaps I like things spicier than most? Perhaps they made it for North American tastes?
Service was excellent.

After trying Sushi Kan in the Gloucester area I did not think I would wanna try Sushi Kan in Nepean. Our usual go-to was closed, and we were craving sushi for lunch so we went here. We were very pleasantly surprised. The service is quick, the restaurant is quite spacious, my only gripe is the washrooms aren't so clean... and have a bunch of racist graffiti all over the stalls.
The food. It is very good for the price of $14.99! Takoyaki for lunch? Yes please! They also have new premium rolls - I forget the names but they have a few that are torched and they taste so delicious. There was one with shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, and fish eggs inside with torched butterfish on top. This is saying something for an AYCE! It has perfect rice to filling ratio. I would actually pay full-price for a roll like that at an a-la-carte.
I don't know if I would go here for dinner though. The sashimi selection is not very exciting, it's standard... no octopus or anything. For dinner we'd probably go elsewhere. For lunch however, it's a solid spot. It just goes to show that different locations have differences in terms of food quality, selection, and of course service.
Sushi kan is a great option if your looking for all you can eat sushi. Over 100 menu items, free drink refills, tidy establishment and friendly staff.
The sushi rolls here are great, especially the special ones off of the night menu. The yummy yummy roll with cream cheese is a real delight. Great value for money, make sure you come with an appetite to really make use of the giant menu. Free refills after initial fountain drink purchase which is only 50c

Fast friendly service, long lunch from 11:30 to 3:30 & excellent value at about $14. Also pretty decent quality & variety of food, capped off with scrumptious ice cream. Just a bit dry sashimi.
My go-to AYCE sushi spot. I used to frequent another AYCE in the neighbourhood... switched to Sushi Kan following consistent service.
For the multiple times I've gone to Sushi Kan, I've never had serious service issues. There have been minor instances of order mistakes, but I feel this tends to happen at most AYCE's. Regardless, they took the food away.
Service is pretty quick here - they're eager to seat you and will ask you for a drink order right then. I've never had concerns about the quality of the food. Between my boyfriend & I, we eat tons of sushi, shashimi, and the buffet-style items (i.e. general tao chicken, tempura, etc). I'm actually surprised to see the rash of negative reviews - we're planning on going there tonight for dinner.
Plus, the points card which earns you a free dinner (or lunch) is a bonus.
Sushi Kan Downtown Location. Clean and cozy restaurant. The service was very fast and friendly. I thought that the sushi and other items were pretty good and fresh, a lot better then some other places I've been to. Will come back.
Going downhill. I've been going to Sushi Kan ever since they opened.
Lately, I've noticed that the quality of the food has gone down.
A few times I got orders of sashimi that smelled a bit off (especially the spicey fish). I also find they are getting stingier with the fish to rice ratio (too much rice for the sushi and handrolls).
The service is mixed although generally fairly good.
I think they need to step up their game if they want to compete with Sawa (which has since become my new go-to for AYCE sushi)
We will definitely eat here again. We went for lunch and found the food and service were very good. The wait is reasonable, if you have realistic expectations of the time it takes to prepare fresh sushi. Two negatives: the kimchi never came, and from the smell, the women's bathroom clearly suffers from water damage.
