  • Bread and Soups‎
    • Every day we serve four kinds of sourdough bread made w/ organic spelt or rye flour. Our bread has no added oil or sugar, & all loaves are vegan except the organic cheese bread.
    • Our soup changes daily. It's always vegan & almost always gluten free, except when it contains barley.
    • Our broth is made from scratch every morning, & we ensure that the soup is full of substance so it eats like a meal in bowl.

  • Hot Food‎
    • Over the years, the green door has accumulated many hundreds of hot food recipes, & they change according to what vegetables are in season. But every every you can expect our most popular dishes

    • Tofu & Broccoli Stir-Fry.
    • Vegan Veggie Curry of the Day.
  • Salads‎
    • All salads are prepared daily from scratch. Depending on the season, we serve a wide variety of new & original recipes, but every day you can pretty much expect to find these

I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but I certainly rate this restaurant as one of my top dining experiences in Ottawa. I will be making this a stop on my future forays into Ottawa. Everything is so tasty, interestingly put together and satisfying.

I came from Houston for a couple of days. I am vegan so my friend that lives in Ottawa brought me to this awesome restaurant ( Green Door) I loved everything I tried, very delicious, organic and healthy !!!

Went today for lunch. It was my first visit and I'll be back. Great food and variety! Staff was extra friendly and helpful. What a great discovery!
