Newly arrived in this country and I've eaten here a few times, staff always smiling and service is just brilliant......i highly recommend this little slice of breakfast heaven to anyone #1 combo it's a delight �

I have only had 2 things here. Their breakfast special, and their club sandwich.

Their breakfast special wasn't the greatest. Eggs were prepared well. Bacon was quite good. Toast is toast, pancakes & french toast left something to be desired.

Their club sandwich however, is really their specialty. Fresh, all white meat chicken breast stacked high, romaine lettuce and bacon. They gladly substitute tomato and replace it with cheese. I got a caesar salad with it, which was a big portion, but covered in artificial bacon bits. The sandwich is probably one of the better in clubs in the city.

The service has always been spot on. Friendly and very fast. Their prices are hard to beat too. I rate this place so highly because of the service, price, and the club sandwich is just that good.

Rediscovered an old haunt. 30 years ago I worked at an office around the corner from Reynold's Restaurant and, without any other options within walking distance, we would eat lunch at this diner every Friday. I was young, I didn't eat out much and my standards were low at that time. I remember loving the fries and the beer, but not much else about the place. So one evening, upon doing a search for restaurants near Carling Avenue, I was surprised to not only see Reynold's listed, but rated so well. I decided it was high time to go back and check it out.

My daughter and I are open-minded about restaurants and were not put off by the old décor, which resembled someone's basement rec-room. Reynold's was not busy: it had about 15 other patrons, most regulars who were conversing with one another, giving the place a homey feel. (In fact, during the course of our meal, a table nearby engaged us in friendly conversation.)

The menu has many standard diner basics. I was initially tempted by the steak sandwich and my daughter by the baked spaghetti. However, other reviews indicated the club sandwich was great and the people in the surrounding tables were eating them, so we decided to play it safe. I ordered a Keith's (beer) and a club sandwich with some gravy on the side for my fries. The waitress took our order and disappeared -- I later learned that the cook had to leave temporarily for a doctor's appointment, so the waitress was not only serving ALL of the tables, but also cooking all of the food. She returned within 10 minutes with our meals.

The reviews do not lie. The club sandwich is one of the best I've had. The chicken on the sandwich is real chicken and it was generous. There must have been 1/4 of a chicken on my sandwich and it was all beautiful white meat. The bacon was crisp, the lettuce was crisp and the tomato was ripe. It had just the right amount of mayonnaise. The fries that accompanied the sandwich were very good, made from thick pieces of potato but still crunchy. The coleslaw that was included was disappointing and I doubt they make it on-site. The gravy was rich and it was OK.

Our dinner was inexpensive (less than $20 for both of us). I gave a generous tip to the waitress, who was kind and sweet, despite juggling two jobs.

We plan to return to try something else on the menu.

Loved the club and fries it was good best club ive have eating in a while.

Been going for several yrs,the food is awesome and service is fast. Club sandwich is the best I find in ottawa and the soup is homemade and the chicken salad sandwich is awesome. Waitress's are great and the chef has been there for 25 yrs. Great place!!!!
