A hidden gem off of Little Italy. I find a lot of sit-down Thai restaurants are overpriced, and take-out places often skimp out on quality, but this place is a good mix of both. Quality for very reasonable prices. The pad kee mao is excellent - generous portions, good mix of salty and spicy taste (and it does pack quite a decent punch for people who love their spices!). The staff are super friendly and the service is quick (since it is primarily a take-out place). Highly recommend if you are in the mood for Thai.

Woke up sooo unbelievably hungover after celebrating a Sens playoff win a lil too much. Had a pounding headache all day but needed to get my chores done. After hours and hours trudging through duty after duty I got home and realized I locked myself out of my flat. After a long wait for the landlord to swing by my stomach was finally ready to tackle some solid food. I gathered up my partner and we hit the road for Wandee. Only one food can cure the immense suffering inside of my head and guts and thats an extra spicy panang curry. Wandee knocked it out of the park. I couldn't hold back my caveman-like grunts. I had to hunch over, pull the bowl to the edge of the table and wrap a protective arm around my prize. That scent, that taste, that spice! HHEJSHD!! My hangover melted away, slowly replaced by the endorphin's floating like angels through my entire being. I was cured! Hallelujah, I was cured! In a daze we retreated back to our place knowing full well, that the lava flowing through our bodies was going to make tomorrow a little hard to deal with but it will be totally worth it.
Fantastic food. Had dinner combo 1 and the shrimp fresh rolls. Excellent flavour and huge portions. Service on the phone and delivery was excellent.
Great hidden Thai restaurant in little Italy. The food is flavorful and the price reasonable. We restaurant is small so we always do take away. The kitchen is in full view so you can watch them prepare the dishes while you wait. It is always busy so you know it must be good.
Very good food, fresh with the amount of spice you want.
Had the green and yellow curries combos.
Spring rolls not oily.
Open kitchen concept. Nice to watch.

Very fast delivery, friendly driver and excellent food! Generous portions. I only with there were more vegetables in the food I ordered. It was still delicious though!

We loved it! three times over. I have just loved the three delicious dining experiences that I've shared with my wife eating Wandee Thai. So happy to have found this new little gem. Also, having used the delivery service we have been shocked at how quick the food arrives.
Looking forward to the next time.
Authentic thai. This is by far the best Thai food I have found in Ottawa. I lived in Thailand as a kid and always have trouble finding authentic Thai food and decent portions. This place delivered! I recommend with no reservations.
The smells as you enter this restaurant are wonderful. Very friendly staff and super busy which is a great hint. Top notch ingredients used. Only fault was we found the dishes too sweet. Thai food doesn’t need so much sugar as it’s flavours speak volumes. Will order again but request less sweetness.
My husband and I ordered from here for the very first time today and we were so impressed! We have been looking for a place in Ottawa that doesn't serve "Americanized" ketchup-based pad thai for sooo long and we've finally found it! Everything we ordered was amazing. Great portions, great prices, no skimping on the ingredients, and of course, GREAT taste. We will definitely be ordering from here again!
The woman who runs this place is very sweet. She brought my food outside while I was sick with Covid and threw in a soup for free , telling me that it would help with my throat. The food itself it honestly delicious! I got the “ Khao pad Kra Paow” with beef and it was a great portion size and tasted great! The soup was also very tasty. Definitely check this place out! Well worth it!!
I ordered the Som Tum and Gaeng Ka Ri Gai.
I've never had papaya salad "Som Tum" before and it was great. A fresh salad with great balance of ingredients. We ordered the regular spicy levels and for people who are moderately good with spice it was perfect.
The Potato Chicken Yello Curry "Gaeng Ka Ri Gai" was amazing. The yello curry was pure sweet smooth and silky. On the potatoes and chicken the flavor was perfect. They didn't skimp on the chicken either you get lots. I would recommend ordering this dish with a side of rice the creamy curry flavor with potatoes and rice was soo good.
The service was great food filled up the generous sized takeaway containers. Pick up was a breeze. Food was ready exactly when i set my pickup time.
My sisters and I had Wandee Thai takeout and loved it. Last time we were in Ottawa we sampled as many thai restaurants as possible. On return, I feel confident saying that Wandee Thai has the best thai take out. I love the pad thai and the pad see ew. Full flavours and it was fresh when we picked it up. Makes for a perfect breakfast the next morning too.
Thai food has always been one of my top go to foods. But since visiting Thailand, there was a flavour void in my life for great Thai food. That is until I discovered Wandee and their Khao Soi. Unreal.
