The Cataplana is the best seafood dish I’ve ever had! Such a hearty bowl filled with jumbo prawn, lobster, mussels, clams, grilled octopus, some tasty fish, and the best seafood authentic broth filled with flavours! Definitely a new favourite spot in Orleans.
The restaurant is wonderful, the servers and chefs work hard, and the food they serve are tasty! I would recommend everyone to go to this place!
Excellent. I think it’s maybe the best Portuguese place in Ottawa. Don’t go for the fast food Piri Piri chicken options that are around here. This chicken was absolutely juicy and tasty. The skin was crispy and full of flavour. The sauces were incredible as was the nice vinho verde! Sausage appetizer was super and of course anything with seafood is a winner here. Coffee needs a bit of fixing but the desserts were super.

Great atmosphere! Cozy and intimate, yet welcoming. Very clean, with covid protocols well in place. Love the scheduled seatings for dinner, very organized and the staff work like clockwork.
Food was so delicious, with substantial portions! Staff were all so pleasant and welcoming. Definitely recommend and definitely will be returning.
We finally got around to trying Caravela, and I’m so sad we didn’t start going here sooner! The food, staff, and atmosphere are excellent. Highly recommend for your next date night.
The octopus is a must in this place! Real authentic food. Food never disappoints here. Music and fun vibes in this place is an experience you won’t find in Ottawa generally. You should expect to wait for sometime here to get your food. The chef is talented. Real excellent food and quality. It’s a small place with rich vibes. The owners are very social and hospitable. Staff is helpful and welcoming. Rico is precise with his advice when it comes to the dishes and drinks, everything he suggested was worth trying. The owner offered everyone in the place a free drink on the house which was generous! It’s my new favourite spot in Ottawa.
Excellent restaurant serving Portuguese food, many dishes of fish and seafood. I had a grilled octopus dish which was very good served with potatoes, rice, vegetables and interesting sauces. Menu is quite generous and also offers lunch options. Wines are very affordable. Service is also very good. Plenty of parking. This restaurant is one of the better options for the Orléans area.
Amazing food and service to match!!! Price are also excellent for the quality of food, very rare now days with so much frozen out there.
You know it’s amazing when the grilled calamari is amazingly nicely charred and tender, and not frozen chewy and micro sized. It’s REAL!!

I was definitely worried about the price Vs portion amount, but I was very pleasantly surprised that the portion sizes was large and very much worth every penny.
The business owner was very nice and took care of us expertly, this restaurant is definitely built with a strong foundation of love and care! Thank you Mr Fernando.

I ordered a paella for my partner’s birthday and I can’t believe how amazing it was! The portions were so generous and the flavour was amazing.
They took such extra care to wrap it up for us, since it was -17 that night. When we got home it was piping hot and absolutely perfect!
