My wife and i have been to baxters several times since its opened, it has become our favorite restaurent. Since our first visit i have made a point of trying everything on the menue, and i have to say i cant decide which meal i like the most! I will say after returning from jamaica for our wedding i had the paiaya, and i can honestly say it was better than the paiaya made by the locals in jamaica, ehich i thought would be impossible to top.The calimari was unreal!! My hat is off to the chef! Every meal has been superb! As amazing as the food is, its the drinks that keep us coming back. The sangria is out of this world! The beer is delicious( i've tried almost all the specials). The manager i have met was very pleasent to talk to very polite. Atmosphere is great! The bathrooms are very clean. My only constructive criticism would be that sometimes the service could be better. Not to say that the staff are unpleasent or rude, because it is quite the opposite as we have not had a server we thought wasnt friendly or nice, its just we have experienced service being a little slower than one would hope. We of course overlooked the slight hiccup as everything else is on point! We wish we could come more often as it can be a little pricy but we recomend this restaurent to family friends and strangers looking for a quality meal.

Just ate at Baxter’s Landing for the first time. Was very impressed. Right from the hostess to the cookie that came with our bill.
The hostess made suggestions of some of her favourites as it was our first time. Our waitress, Deanna, was very pleasant and gave us great service.
The manager stopped by to make sure we were pleased with our food. My husband had the chicken pot pie, comes with a Landing salad. Great flavour in the pie. I had a Landing salad, recommended by the hostess, and the chicken chimachurra pizza...not sure I have that correct.
Great food and great service
The hostess even saw us looking at the wines and told us 1/2 price bottles on Thursdays. A good reason to return and try a different menu dish.

I reserved a table for 3 here, in case this place gets busy. One of my friends also works here, which got us a %20 off the regular menu price. I enjoyed eating here, because the environment was very modern, with music, and a dimly lit space; perfect for a hot, summer afternoon lunch. The tables and chairs were spacious, and the staff there were all very accommodating and patient with our orders, and gave recommendations as it was 2 of our first time here.
The dish I ordered was a smaller portion than expected, but still delicious and very filling. Our waiter was pleasant to talk to, and we spent almost 20 minutes here chatting, as the restaurant wasn't too busy during lunch hours. I cannot speak for dinner hours or weekends, but this Baxter's location did not disappoint. It's definitely worth trying out if you're in Oshawa looking for a meal in a vibe restaurant, or hanging out with old pals!
Called before we went here as it was our first time and we were in the area and decided to have dinner here. Liam was great when I spoke to him, he also greeted us and showed us to our seats when we arrived. Rob T was out server and was awesome to deal with, totally enjoyed his service. The steak and shrimp was delicious. The in house mascarpone cheesecake we had for dessert was a total hit. The only complaint I had wasn't any calamari left as we were going to order it for the appetizer. The decor is eye catching and the atmosphere is cool and relaxing. Definitely will be back.
By far one of the best experiences I've had for my bday. I attended with family for my birthday and the food was absolutely amazing and the service from our server Greg was the best ever. He made me a special drink for my birthday and provided so much more for us. The complementary dessert was just devine. Overall the visit was the best for my first time at Baxter's Landing. I would and will recommend them to everyone I know. Love love love this place.
Came here for lunch and everyone was really nice. Craig Warren was extremely nice and made me a Drink. It’s called Michelada which is a Central American drink that was NOT on the menu But it definitely should be. And it was AMAZING I really appreciate the fact that he went out of his way to make it. Definitely going to come back. The food was really good and atmosphere was great. Definitely check it out. THANK YOU CRAIG!!!!
Went their after work for having a quick bite and drink in patio. Really loved the setup, service and food - our server Rob was amazing and food was tasty with a very good portion size.
Amazing Valentine’s Day dinner. Our server Greg was fantastic and the food was incredible. We enjoyed the 4 course Valentines Day special. I can’t say enough how amazing the food was
servers sarah and graham were amazing and beyond amazingly pleasant and accomodating!!! Graham was very professional and Sarah was on point and amazing throughout the entire night, wonderful staff!. fast and attentive service... but Chef Drew is something special! I've been here three times now and all three times chose dishes I normally don't like nor would ever order (specifically seafood) and this man is an artist with cuisine! Every dish he makes had been to die for and exquisite!!! This food is the best your gonna find in Oshawa! And is top 5 for Durham Region!!! Also Dj boy wonder hit every track on point with this evening crowd!!!
We had a lovely Friday Night Out dinner last night. Our server, Chris, was attentive, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We took his recommendation on our choices and both entrees were excellent (Morroccan Curry Chicken, Peruvian Chicken Salad). We ended with Sticky Toffee pudding which was very very good. I also had an Landing Old Fashioned to start and it was in keeping with the rest of the meal. In the days where everything costs more but you don't always get a great or even good experience, it was comforting to find a restaurant that cared about food and service and exceeded expectations.
The pre fixe menu was outstanding, fillet mignon was brought at the perfect temperature. Seeing all the nice plates come out, we definitely have to come back again.

My partner and I reserved a table for Valentines day which was a special 4 course $120 meal.
The meal started with a baked brie with pesto, pistachio and balsamic strawberries. This was a great start, well balanced flavors with sweetness and savory. Absolutely amazing flavor.
Second course was a creamy yet acidic tomato bisque and a mushroom and truffle crostini. The crostini is earthy and savory, and the tomato bisque is more acidic than expected but nice in small amounts.
Third course was steak with garlic butter confit, garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The steak and mashed potatoes are perfectly made. We also had the pesto and artichoke gnocchi which was really good. The artichoke adds a nice smokey roasted flavor to the pasta.
The final course was Baxters Landing classic sticky toffee pudding and a creme Brule. The pudding is rich and sweet as always and the creme Brule was creamy and sweet, just the right amount.
The server was very kind and made great conversation with us between courses.
The atmosphere is always nice here. An adequate amount of distance between tables except for the booth beside us being a little too close to where we felt like the next couple was sitting with us.
