I work in an accounting department on the North Shore and 6 of us tried this place for the first time today! It was divine. You taste the love in their food. Spinach Cannelloni was really good, same with the pea soup! I have yet to try my lasagne, however, judging by them smell and look, I suspect it will match the greatness and quality of everything else. If you like a good soul warming homemade meal, this is your place!
Mama's never disappoints. The daily soups are fantastic, spinach cannelloni is perfect everytime. The homemade bread and sandwiches are outstanding. Everything is made from scratch, fresh everyday. This is an absolute gem of a place. I highly recommend this cafe if your in the north van neighborhood, pop in for lunch. You will be glad you did.
A fabulous Italian Cafe in the heart of the Dollarton highway industrial area near Second Narrows Bridge. I frequent Mama's because the food is always fresh and made from scratch. From the daily soups, to the Cannelloni and lasagna, to the Meatballs, Sausages and fresh bread. Every day, Mama's has an assortment of freshly made food, that keeps me coming back for more. The large $5.00 sandwiches made with their fresh baked bread, can't be beat! A real gem of a place!!
AMAZING!. I work near this cafe and go a few times a week. The food is great and taste just like my mama's. Very authentic home style italian cooking. Would recommend this place in a heart beat!
Great!. Soups are terrific, different every day, served really hot with a slice of Mama's fresh-baked whole wheat bread: my favourite: the Curry Chicken/Cauliflower. The huge sandwiches are stuffed with ingredients to make your mouth water; my favourite: the Mediterraneo. Che Bella!
Very good little shop... First time there and from what I can gather the menu changes everyday...
