North Van Talent. Chilli Lee is probably my fav restaurant to order from on the North Shore. I truly believe that the chefs are talented here ! Please try the 'Curry Mixed Vegetables' - so amazing and fresh, I often order/pick up this dish to go with food I am serving at home. Pad Thai is great as well as the BBQ Pork Egg Foo Young. Portions are generous & flavors elevated. The service is never disappointing and I have observed the restaurant to be impeccably clean. I am confident that even if this place was located on Kingsway or in South Van that it would would be super popular (that's how amazing it is). Great Food & Service. One of the best Chinese/Szechuan food places in North Van. Definitely recommend trying out. Friendly and fast service with fresh and tasty food. We tried the Gai Lan w/ garlic sauce, Szechuan fried rice, shrimp chow mein & Szechuan sesame chicken.... all were delicious!!
Excellent service, great quality.. Chilli lee had re-vamped their menu. Quick call, friendly staff. Pickup was ready in 10 mins. Food tasted great, not heated; made fresh. Prices reasonable as well, lots of options.

Killler chinese food. Yesterday i ordered food from chilli lee and expected just cheap regular chinese food.
but i was so suprised with quality of real szechuan cuisine. real stuff that i always was looking for.

The negative reviews make no sense to me. I've had four positive experiences here in the previous year (2 dine in and 2 take out) I've grown up on Vancouver Chinese food and found Chilli Lee to have great Szechuan cuisine.
Chilli Lee is one of the cleaner Chinese food establishments on the North Shore. (If you're complaining about a chef's apron, maybe stay away from Wing Ho, Orange Door, Golden Pearl....)
I've never encountered the taste of frozen vegetables in the dishes I've ordered (5+ different dishes). Don't know about the quality of the Americanized Chinese food here but the Szechuan dishes are delicious and fresh. The lady running the front is nice and attentive when I dined in. Make your own opinion though, I found the food to be not too greasy and have fresh veggies so that's why I'm ordering pick up tonight. I was looking for the number and menu, felt compelled to give my review after reading the previous negatives.
edit : Eating Szechuan mixed vegetables and seasame chicken right now. It hasn't disappointed. If the veggies were frozen, they taste better than what comes out of whole foods freezer. Only minor disappointment is prices have been raised a dollar per dish but people gotta making a living.
Chilli Lee Szechuan. Just wanted to say the food was very fresh and tasty. The kitchen and restaurant were clean. I had take out while I waited they offered me fresh tea.
Clean and modern decor, pleasant helpful staff, attractive presentation, good value, classic dishes with no real surprises; Great for lunch, but needs better, less harsh lighting after dark.
Finally a GREAT Szechuan place on the North Shore!! Actually Chilli Lee could hold it's own amongst the best on any shore. The restaurant is clean and fresh and so is the food. Have eaten here 4 times in the last month and have not had a bad dish yet. Everything is cooked fresh and prepared to perfection. I love Chilli Lee!!!
Awesome. Since moving to the North Shore from East Van in 2002 I have sorely missed great Chinese food, especially my beloved Szechaun Chong King on East 12th. But finally, a Chinese restaurant with food that is just as good!! Thank you, thank you Chili Lee for rescuing us from take-out orange gloop.
