This is my favorite sushi place in the whole lower mainland. It's a bit tight for room but I know to get there early. Everything is always so fresh and the tempura is the best ever. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Their prices are very reasonable.
I love the lunch special there!
Rolled in here for a quick takeout lunch; admittedly the sticker shock of the sashimi lunch bento was offputting($18 including tip), but when I unpacked it all, the amount of food(assorted sashimi, choice of chicken karaage or gyoza or tempura, miso soup, rice ball, and salad) was enough for two meals(and I made it into lunch the next day). Good quality sushi fish, nice salad that had a variety of veggies and not just iceberg lettuce. Delicious!
My friend and I are regulars here and are always greeted by the servers and chefs when we walk in. Their sushi is always fresh and delicious and presented very beautifully. It does tend to get quite busy in the evenings but you know why once you get your food. A bit more pricey then the other North Van sushi locations but totally worth it and expected at a place like Sushi Bella.
The place has great staff and a nice ambience overall. Really enjoyed the sushi but the tempura needs some work! Compared to other places, it was a bit overpriced.
Great food... and great service as well! Servers were very attentive and helpful and cared about the customers. Also their green salad and rolls are so delicious!
Good food at a fair price. They have a good variety of rolls and dishes. The presentation is very good. However the service could be quicker.
Always a treat whenever I get the chance to visit Sushi Bella! The decor, service and presentation is always on point!
This was my first time visiting the Lonsdale location. The front entrance was really cramped and slightly hard to maneuver as it opened right into the sushi bar. Nonetheless, we were seated very quickly and the hostess was very knowledgeable of the menu and recommended the Sashimi Nachos ($9) for us. It was the perfect sharing portion as there were four pieces of crispy wonton with tuna & salmon sashimi placed beautifully on top. It's supposed to be eaten more like hors d'oeuvres and less like the traditional Mexican appie.
I ordered a Spicy Salmon Roll ($4) and their specialty Ocean Dream Roll ($8). Very beautifully prepared, the size of the rolls weren't too big so I was able to enjoy each piece in one bite. The Ocean Dream Roll had negitoro, avocado, and topped with fresh tuna with a spicy aioli. It wasn't too big of a wow factor in terms of taste, but it wasn't too heavy and overwhelming with the spicy sauce.
Definitely recommend sharing the bill here as there's so many delicious-sounding items on the menu!
Sushi was pretty good. Service was fast and they were attentive. The spicy tuna roll was a little disappointing but the rest of it was tasty and well priced.
Delicious!. We have been to this restaurant about 3 times now and the food has always been fabulous. We usually order and like the salmon carpaccio, takoyaki because both are very delicious. We also try to order a new item that we have not tried before. The quality of the fish is very good & fresh and you definitely get what you pay for. Prices are higher than your normal sushi place but they have unique flavors & variety. The restaurant is small and gets packed (looks like they are expanding) so expect a wait for dinner time.
Highly Recommended!
This place gets busy and you might have to wait.. But believe me IT IS WORTH IT. So good oh my gosh.
How does crab even melt in your mouth?!. SOO GOOD! Best sushi I have had personally. My coworkers and I always order from them for our sushi fix, even though its a bit more expensive, it is SO worth it!
