so far i like the food it is tasty ,tempura is good they did not use an old oil i could say because i used to work in a restaurant. Service is awesome and I feel that it is authentic japanese food. Clean and good ambiance.
Lots of options here, with combos, boxes, boats and 'tang' specials to keep all happy. Space is small, but service is excellent and fast - I was in, ordered, fed and out in 30 mins.Great value with most lunch options under $10.
Went there on a whim & ordered the love boat with my boyfriend. The staff were super friendly, I never had to ask for a refill of my drink, the waitress came around 4-5 times to check up on our empty dishes, our drinks, and to ask if we were enjoying our food. The boat had a decent variety, my absolute favourites being the salmon and octopus sashimi, but honestly, everything was excellent. The rolls were well proportioned with a ton of filling and & not overwhelmed with rice like a lot of other places tend to do. We barely waited at all for our food and got our bill as soon as I asked. Overall it's less fancy & more a place I'd go casually with friends & family. Definitely going to be my regular sushi place :)
Awesome service. Food is fresh and creative. It's not a fancy space but the friendly staff and good food make up for it every time. Great neighbourhood eatery!
Love it!. One of the best sushi places I've ever been to. Great service, food is incredibly fresh and flavourful.
We had great service, & enjoyed the yam tempura.
I love this place. I've been coming here for over 3 years. Harry is one awesome chef and a super nice guy. The food is delicious and the service is great!
Great place for lunch. I have eaten at sushi tang for lunch and have enjoyed it both times. the prices are reasonable and the service good. i love the maxican role, have not been able to find it anywhere else. i would recommend this sushi restaurant to everyone
A Great Place. Let me say this first: I've lived in Japan and enjoyed some really amazing sushi. Just because a restaurant is Korean owned/operated doesn't mean it's not good sushi. I hate it when people are so narrow minded and think they're sushi experts. My wife and I went here randomly before visiting some friends in New West. The sushi is pretty good, and wow, you get a really good bang for your buck.
I had the "Economy Box" bento box. For $10.99 it came with miso soup, ebi sunomono, some takoyaki (nice touch, be sure to try it), some gyoza, a salad, an Alaskan roll (instead of the usual California roll), and three pieces of nigiri. The portions were modest, but for $10.99 it's a great spread with lots to eat all together, and lots of different tastes.
Another great thing about the restaurant is the staff. They are some of the most cheerful and friendly staff I've seen. My wife and I noticed that almost everyone around us were regulars who knew the staff, and chatted with them. When we paid, the waitress / hostess noticed we were new customers and took the time to ask us how we liked it. We also chatted about Japan, Korea and Japanese food. It seems like more and more restaurants don't take the time to talk and really interact with their customers.
The next time we're in New West, we'll be sure to come back here.
Great simple, humble canadian/japanese food!. I don't get why people are complaining about authenticity, as long as it tastes great, fresh along with great service I REALLY don't care for it. Real Edo-style aunthentic sushi is not for everyone especially in canada, pretty bad way to start a business in new-west don't you think? Anyways me and my friend always go here and get full under 10 dollars. Very generous with their rolls (salmon&cream cheese roll, Negitoro, etc) and their rice is perfectly cooked everytime and seasoned. Great neighbourhood restaurant!
The best sushi around! But I wish they had a good red wine in their menu 😏
Lady was nice. Good sushi. I would go again if Im ever in New West and feel like sushi🤤
Nondescript storefront but surprisingly nice inside. Good food, good presentation, great value. 🌈🌊☁️🍣
I ordered take out it was fantastic. The staff was friendly and courteous! The chicken udon 👌. Cant wait to try more items on the menu
Update: second time was just as fantastic. Crazy boy roll has the perfect crunch. And we will definitely order the glass noodles again!!
Cute little sushi restaurant on 6th and 6. I ordered here for a meeting and I was not disappointed. They make party trays that are appealing to a wide variety of groups without having to many on popular or uncommon. The hostess that took my order and who cater to set the door was kind and friendly and offered my friend and I tea while we waited. The sushi was also very delicious
