Explosion of flavour on the freshest noodles! Lots of choice in flavours, & meats, noodle style. Large portions. Wish the hot sauce was available for purchase - it’s incredible! (4.5/5)
This is my most favourite restaurant by far! I'm always impressed with the food every time I go, and my go-to dishes are the lamb soup and the beef roll. The noodles are hand tossed there and are absolutely delicious. The food is also always flavourful, and you get a large amount of food for a low price!
Great spot for Northern Chinese food. The noodles here are hand pulled and are delicious! We love the cold noodles as well as the beef roll. We have also tried the dumplings which we found to be really filling and heavy. But this is real Chinese comfort food, we have come back and definitely recommend.
Went here on a whim and on a major craving for dim sums. I was very pleasantly surprised! They’re one of the only places that have chicken dim sums and I’m grateful for that!

First of all, please follow us on Instagram. Our posts make your posts look really good by comparison! yes_were_eating_again. And please read our blog. I feel like it is pretty decent these days! All right so down to business! I'm not an expert on China (OK. I did read some history and I can name all the dynasties) but I know that they grow wheat in the north and rice in the south. So north generally means bread, noodles and dumplings (although they do have a few rice dishes on the menu here). It also means that most perfect of dishes, cumin lamb. The very thought of cumin lamb makes me salivate! So with that in mind, we made our way to New Westminster Station (weirdly, we drove there) where North Noodle House is located. I have wanted to try this place for sometime for the house made noodles and the aforementioned lamb. It is a little squeezy here with maybe 16 to 20 seats and a fair bit of traffic but we did not have to wait. First up was the Spicy Cumin Chinese Hamburger. The bun itself was pillowy but nicely browned on the flat top while the spicy filling lived up to my hopes and dreams! If I was a bit more of a food stylist, I could have done a better job of making it look as good as it tasted! The Lan-Zhou Beef Soup Noodles were also very good. Comforting and warm with the flavour of star anise, there was a generous amount of tender beef and tasty contrasting pickled vegetables. We discovered the very good house made noodles hiding underneath! Finally, Fried Pancake with Pork. Not the most photogenic dish but this was also very good. Only close examination revealed that this was not a noodle dish. It reminded me of our weekend brush with Kottu Roti from Sri Lanka, another dish that is a stir fry but with thinly sliced roti. There were many more dishes on the menu that we would have liked to try but even as it was, we had leftovers to go! As we were leaving, I gazed longingly at someones dish of Fried Chicken with Potatoes, Hot Peppers and Spicy Star Anise Sauce as it arrived (Xin-Jiang Noodles). We will be back to try that! Service was friendly and what I would call, very efficient. I felt like our space was needed and didn't care to linger too long as the check arrived by express at our table. That is not a criticism however just an observation! This is a wonderful place to carb up and we recommend it!
4/5 one of my favourite Chinese noodles restaurant!!! I like the strong flavour and the texture of their noodles, plus a convenient location, highly recommend!
This place offers hand made Xian style noodles and more. I've tried the pork Chinese style burger, the North beef roll and the #6 Xin-Jiang noodles. The burger seemed a little dry. The North beef roll was delicious, but a little pricey for what you get. The real star of the show for me, was the noodles. Coming with fried chicken, potatoes and hot peppers. At $16 seemed pricey, but its a ton of food and absolutely worth it. Probably over 2 lbs! The hand made noodles had an amazing chewy texture and heaps of chicken. After eating it, I was alreading planning a return visit! Hooked! Limited seating. Best for take out.
This place has the best noodles I have ever had in my life. There are lots of vegetarian/ vegan options. The staff is friendly and the dishes are big and the prices are cheap. I go here at least once a week. I love it.
Above is the Zhajiang Pork with Cucumber on noodles, the lamb skewer, and the pork dumplings in sour soup. Honest opinion was that this place is not worth sitting down to eat at. Get the dumplings to go, and don’t bother trying to get comfortable in the cramped sitting area. It’s not even the servers that make this place hard to eat at, but it’s just the close quarters with strangers, who may or may not be rude (they were rude that night). I’ll give it a 4 for the food.
My guest for the evening decided that we should try out more restaurants in New Westminster. One, it being her home turf. Two, there are lots of new restaurants opening up in the area. And three, I really haven’t covered much in New West. Though unfortunately we chose Monday as the day of our meet up, and there really isn’t much open or open late on a Monday in New West (that isn’t a chain). So to be honest, this wasn’t our first choice, however a good one for anyone looking for a quick Northern Chinese meal enroute, given its location right on the New Westminster skytrain platform
