Usually do the home delivery option. Food is always hot . Our family has been eating at this restaurant since it opened its doors. My mom liked the beef satay chow mein. I like the Singapore style chow mein.

I grew up in Chinatown eating Hon’s as a treat on Sundays and the New West location didn’t disappoint. I visited on a Tuesday night so it was quiet with lots of seating available. We were greeted cheerfully, seated and served tea right away.
It was my son’s bday dinner and we ordered the beef and black bean sauce chow mein with crispy noodles, sweet and sour chicken and the salty fish and diced chicken fried rice. The food came out lightning fast, I’m talking minutes!
The noodles were too crispy for my son but I loved them. They are crispy through and through. Meat and vegetables were generous. Everything was so delicious and hot! The sweet and sour chicken was lean and crispy. The fried rice was tasty and their portions are big! There are a lot of filler onions so if you aren’t a fan, maybe ask to hold back on them.
Overall great experience, quick and friendly service and delicious food with generous portions. Will definitely return! (I’ve had their wet rice noodles with beef and it’s delicious too).
Hon's has been a family favourite for Chinese food since I was a baby! When the Richmond location closed, we started going to the New Westminster location, and none of the dishes have ever disappointed. My personal favourite are the potstickers, because I grew up on those. It's the perfect balance of crunchy and soft textures, and the vinegar sauce that accompanies it compliments the dish well.
Portions here are big. We always have some food left over to take home. No need to worry about what to eat for lunch the next day!
This location can be a little busy, especially during the evenings. Make sure to get here early! The servers are nice and efficient, however, so you should be seated as soon as possible.
One of my comfort food place. This rating is for the New Westminster location. I've been here countless times and they've always provided the best Chinese comfort food around this area. Weekdays, this place tends to be less busy compared to weekends where it can be packed during dinner time. The portions are large and their variety is immense. Eat in or take out both are available.
Ordered 2 noodle dishes off the lunch special menu (1 per person). We were pleasantly surprised by the large portions (ended up packing both home and made another meal out of it) but it did consist of mostly noodles. It would have been nice to get more meat/veggies. Taste was okay but can't really complain since the dishes were less than $8 each (again, these dishes were huge).
So Hon's...this restaurant LIVES in my memory...running in Queen's park, then coming to Hon's for a gorgeous bowl of delicious won ton soup( with number one noodle!) and as much chili oil as I could bear in the delicately flavored fish broth-SO delish- The award winning pot stickers and the absolutely divine honey-garlic ribs-perfectly cooked and meaty...oh nom...Their Sui mai , are stellar, packed with savory flavor and steamed to perfection. This is always, the New Westminster location.
Just go eat there. The service-not outstanding-but the(glorious) food comes pretty fast and is always worth it.
Showed up after a long moving day and ordered shrimp wun tun and a dish of beef / broccoli... Good tasty food.. Clean, busy place... Good customer service... I think i found a new place for my Chinese comfort food :)
One word: potstickers!. Best place in new west for potstickers dipped in vinaigrette sauce. really hits the spot after a late nite out.
Rude server rude manager two screwed orders and to "punish" me for asking them to get it right I was told the next one would be very small. Never again.
Good cheap eats!. Hon's to me is like McD's to other growing up. My family used to go to the original one in Chinatown at least once a week. The hole in the wall,l but got lots of rave reviews in Georgia straight newspaper. My favorite is the Curry beef on rice. There just something comforting and familiar about it. Fast forward 25 years later, moved to New Westminster and I still go to Hon's and get a quick cheap dinner. For awhile it was a bit iffy and the food was bad. But it seems they got their groove back. The waitress Are friendly and service fast. It's nothing fancy but I can get dinner for two for under $30 and we can have leftovers for lunch for a few days. Can't beat that!
Great staff and service. Order didn't take long. Food was good, not the best Chinese place out there, but not bad either. It doesn't break your bank. Would recommend the hot and sour chicken soup.
We popped in last night and enjoyed the food - without question the best thing about this place it the service and shear variety of menu items you can order. The food came out in 5 minutes.
The food was good- not amazing. Just good. We ordered beef broccoli and ginger beef, green onion cakes, and a noodle dish.

Good Food. Great Portion Sizes. The food tastes like it’s homemade which is a good thing but also it doesn’t give you that “restaurant taste”.
I found the beef fried rice to be really nice, the sources were well balanced and was more than enough for two adults.
The Beef brisket was beautiful, the meat was falling off the bones and cooked beautifully, the broth tasted amazing and (so did the potatoes) once again, it tasted exactly like something my family would make at home and didn’t really “elevate” my senses.
The soup, it’s chicken and egg, has tofu, noodles and cabbage. I forget the exact name. It needed a little bit of salt/ soy sauce to give it that hint of magic, it was pretttyyyyy good! The snap serving is actually super big lol, so that was great!
Overall kinda fatty/ oily for my liking, but also a must try. There are more items I’d like to try so I’m definitely going back. The SOUP was my favourite.
Very good dimsum and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Their bbq duck is excellent, would have been 100 stars but I got a stomachache after eating here unfortunately. The bbq duck leftover also gave me some irritation later sadly. :(
Unexpected flavours, delicious, highly recommend, the lunch portion has too much noodles to share, and the fried dumplings are amazing. Service is five stars too.
Out of all the Chinese restaurants within New Westminster , I must say this is where I always go. Since I got here three years ago, this is still
ny fave Chinese restaurant place. Food serving is fair for sharing, service is quick, also they are happy servers that has been working for the company for a long time! Food is real good! Okay what else? Hmmm maybe additional dessert option and that’s it!
