I grew up in the neighbourhood and have always loved this place. It serves amongst the best poutine and hotdogs in the city. It is consistently great and also open late.

The Best But Pricey. The product line has increased and the prices have jumped.
No excuse for these prices,
No wonder it closes earlier.
If you do not believe me go there-and order
1 coke 1 fry 2 hot dogs
Crazy price for fountain pop and fries
Greed
But their hot dogs and fries are the best

Best hot-dogs in Montreal (Shopsy's weiners). Every other kind (Lesters, Schneiders) pales in comparison.

Best hot in town. Like 1 reviewer said. Simple menu, but they mastered the hotdog and French fry.
The hot dog has this smokey flavor which makes it wonderful combined with the home made coleslaw.

Worth a try. A second visit makes you an addict :-)

The menu has been the same for over 30 years! 1. Hot dogs 2. Fries 3. Drinks ( non alcholic) And new since 3 years ago poutine. Why you should go. Best hotdog anywhere. The hotdog itself actually tastes yummy and the coleslaw is homemade. My favorite is a Mu-shu ( moutard et salade de Chou) Try the hotdogs. You'll then find all others taste like crap. They only use the best "Shoppseys"

One of Montreal's Oldest & Best. Wow! I stumbled on this place about 5 years ago and I had been looking for it for a very long time but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. (Try to find an address for it on Google... Hehehe)

My father use to bring us there when I was a kid, and use to tell us stories about how his dad took him there when he was a kid himself. The place is very very old, they have pictures of when it was surrounded by fields and dirt roads! It actually started as a mobile french-fries horse pulled buggy!

They make some of the best fries in Montreal yet rarely do any media mention them. The hot-dogs are also very good but the poutine's sauce is not that great nor is the cheese that they use.

Go give it a try! :o)
