Love this Salvadorian restaurant where their specialty is pupusas. They have much more like burritos, enchiladas and churros. Family run restaurant that has been open for over 15 years. Best place for El Salvadorian food in town., Authentic and very hospitable. Service slow but place is always very busy. A definite must try for this type of food. Inexpensive and good.
A seemingly Pan-Latin menu peppered with common continental staples – burritos, enchiladas, tamales – also features notable Salvadoran specialties such as fried yucca and pupusas.
Flavors are more subdued than ones typical of other Latin American nations. Expect hearty, maize-based fare that is very easy on the wallet. Three-dollar-pupusas? ¡Si señor!
Although the menu clearly separated starters from mains, pacing was rather all over the place; plates arrived randomly in incoherent batches separated by long pauses on occasion.
Salvadorian home cooking. Family owned. Under-the-radar, low-profile type place. Colorful but simple decor. Smiling service. Simple, unextravagant, flavorful food. Worth a try if you are in the neighborhood.
