I was introduced to Delisnowdon 38 years ago.I had an appointment with the then owner, Joe Morantz, to have some artwork approved for his takeout containers. When I arrived, he was extremely busy and asked if we could meet after lunch. I decided to try a smoked meat. When I got up to pay, the cashier said everything's handled. From that time on, I have been a loyal fan of theirs-THE BEST smoked meat in Montreal and I've tried most of them. Their staff have been there for along time. The customers have been loyal for ages. Go and spoil yourself. One and a half medium old fashioned with the best coleslaw in town and their fries are to die for. Go see Ian and his crew. Guaranteed you won't be disappointed. 5 �!!!!!! A Mtl staple. I went regularly with my Grandfather. Thanks to the del for always providing great food and even better memories! This place is for everyone!
Full disclosure, I ate in my car. The latkes and brisket were amazing, even in a takeaway format.
Update: I went to the dining room, portions were generous, I had leftovers for a second meal. The sides such as the pickles and coleslaw were very good. The service was good and rapid. It was so delicious I would put 6 stars if I could!
Finally made it here after having thus on my list. Came for breakfast and had their smoked meat poutine with coffee. Pretty good although I found the gravy a hit salty.
Service was very friendly and it had such an old school diner vibe I think that is pretty unique in itself.
Great people and the smoked meat there is delicious! Highly recommend their Hamantashen cookie too (stuffed with plums, a nice blend of spices and some orange or citrusy flavour).

The food was great. We ordered the old style smoked meat, the lean version. I think, I am going to order a bit more fat next time. Lol
But, the smoked meat was excellent and you get a good portion.
Best diner/breakfast/brunch spot in Montreal!
Portions are generous, I ordered pancakes, they come in a set of 2 with the option to have fruit on the side or inside, I opted to have mine made with blueberries. Then there’s the smoked meat Benny, which is delicious! I also liked the Blintz- which are crepe rolls filled with sweet cheese served with blueberry jam and sour cream. This place is just amazing!
Great smoked meat and brisket in a diner vibe setting. We ordered for takeout, but they have dine-in until 3pm. Friendly staff that helped me (nonlocal) find the best dish for our tastes

Some of the best smoked meat I've tasted in Montreal. Tender, juicy, flavourful yet simple. Very generous with their portions of meat to bread ratio and seasoned to perfection. Staff there were also very friendly.
