Every single dish in my 7-course tasting menu was very tasty, nicely presented and flawless. Service was attentive and staff took the time to talk to customers. However, both my buddy and I found the wine pairing was underwhelming - the white was not crispy enough and some pairings did not complement the dishes at all. The saving grace was the shot of local spiced rum at the end. All in all, great tasting menu (I was told they change the menu every couple of weeks) and will come here again.
Absolutely delicious food. Everything was artfully made and presented. Each ingredient was thoughtful and really shone. I especially loved that every course was served on a unique and gorgeous handmade ceramic plate. We did the wine pairing which was a great addition. We split it between the two of us and it was the perfect addition to our meal. Great place for a celebration dinner.
50-seat, subterranean, chef-forward restaurant with seasonally focused tasting menu (over five, seven or eight courses). Food is expertly prepared, even if every dish doesn't hit the mark. The signature mushroom and potato puree dish was very very good. Prices very reasonable for the experience, staff was incredible attentive and accommodating (my French is awful so they changed servers with one who had better English)
Exceptional dinner. My date and I opted for the 5-course tasting menu. After our 5 courses, there were two additional desserts. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. Presentation was beautiful + creative. It seemed like the plates and bowls were crafted from a ceramic artist. Very intimate and small restaurant. Dim-lighting, brick walls, nice music playlist, and super attentive and knowledgable staff. Our favorite dish was the mushroom + potato puree dish. We wish we had more of it! The flavors meshed so well together. We will definitely come back here again.
From Japan:)
I strongly recommend this restaurant, if you would like to have great dinner in Montreal downtown. It was outstanding.
Beginning with pretty amuse, we enjoyed 6 delicious and beautiful plates. Especially, mackerel was surprisingly great combination of sweetness, sourness and saltines. It was new and happy experience of taste for me.
Atmosphere was also nice, not so casual or so formal. Good for date and casual business meeting.
I had an excellent time and excellent food at Chasse-Galerie. I got the 5 courses service with food and wine pairing. Everything matched perfectly. The most surprising dish for me was the declinaison of blueberries. So delicious. You can only go if your make a reservation first: because all products are fresh and the menu changes like every few weeks at a time. Definitely a must if you are into gastronomic cuisine.
friendly and fun staff. scallops, carrot, and mushroom dishes were quite delicious! their foie gras on donut with crunchy peanuts, served with parsnip ice cream was one of a kind!😍 thanks guys!
