Another dim restaurant in Richmond Hill. The taste is average but the cost per dish is $3 (which is pretty good). We were able to find a seat for 3 during lunch time on the weekends. For this restaurant, you order dim sum via paper and pencil.

Would I go back? Yes but don't expect anything to surprise your taste buds.

Love the Food!. I been fortunate enough to eat here a number of times. 2 weddings and dim sum, monday nights. The service is exceptional. Look for Charlie, he is the manager, he will very attentive to the needs of the customer.

Food was very tasty but not oily, Love going here!!

Monday nights are a great deal - a whole Peking Duck for $20, (includes an extra dish made from the meat of the duck).

Every night has a special deal. Worth checking out.

20% dim sum discount and special discounted dish of the day!. First time customer.
Food: we tried dim-sum, all good with the exception of the leaf wrap sticky-rice; short on fillings and have no taste.

Service: Waitress/host was quick to lead us to a table and take order, one typical problem is; when the dim sum is brought to your table, they will put it to the opposite end of the table so you have to get up and relocate it.

Washroom: 3/5 stars - clean, odor-free, and well stock with paper.

Looks like they are well equip for banquet, with selections of banquet menu in various price ranges.

Oh! Dim Sum.. May be more expensive than other places serving up dim sum but this place is well worth paying extra. Service is good and it is clean. Obviously dinner menu items can be very very expensive but dim sum is very reasonable.

While having dim sum the other day, so many people around us were having lobster fried noodles that looked so exceptionally delicious. We could not stand it not eating it any longer so we went back a few days later only to find it was a Friday special at $20, normally costing over$42 (it was only written in Chinese and we do not read Chinese and we had to ask a waiter).

I guess sometimes it pays to go with someone who understands Chinese to go to these places as some things are not posted in English.

Fancy Dim Sum!. Until I went to Emperor, I didn't know "fancy" dim sum existed. The decor has an almost baroque feel with a lot of gold accents, chandeliers and elaborate furniture. The teapots are kept warm at your table with a candle burning under it. Every so often, someone comes around to clear your used plate and replace with a new one. The prices here are a bit higher than regular dim sum (which is totally justified) so it may not be your weekly go to for dim sum.

Dim Sum. After years and years, and literally hundreds of meals of dim sum all over the world, I've gotten used to the rhythms of the experience. It's one that rarely changes from restauarant to restaurant, city to city, country to country. So Emperor surprised me, and it did it in exactly the right ways--with small touches. Dim sum can be a knockabout experience of slammed tea pots, food cart hit-and-runs, and shouting--lots and lots of shouting--but the army of gracious servers at Emporer are professional, efficient and disarmingly polite. The best example: a small pitcher of soy sauce accompanying a plate of rice noodle rolls was heated so as not to harden the soft noodles. And all these things happen without Emperor losing that intense, chaotic energy that so essential to the best dim sum experiences.

The dim sum is ticked off a menu rather than delivered by cart, and each item is clearly made to order. The result is some of the most perfectly cooked dim sum you'll find in the GTA.

But unlike the crappy food quality that you sometimes get at other restaurants, Emperor consistently serves really delicious food. They are also very creative - I've had dishes there that I've never had anywhere else before (this goes for dim sum too).
